Anna was roaming through the palace's elegant and extraordinary wide corridors for any sound or sign of Imogen. She was so held up on finding her, that she wasn't even paying attention to the eerie silence filling the whole space around her. There was not a single sign of a passing soul or a sound, whatsoever.
It was soundless...
Lifeless...
Eerily lifeless...
The only thing that was echoing through those golden walls, were the faded sound of the sophisticated music from the crowded Ballroom, alongside with the heavy and fast sound of her heels on the marble creamy floor.
It was fading...
Statically and methodically...
At every single step, Anna was taking, hurrily moving further inside those labyrinth like corridor, the low sound of the high ranked royals, was fading.
Annabella was searching. She was looking for an office or even the throne room, in order to find Imogen, but she was obviously out of luck.
She couldn't find neither of them.
Anna was guessing that Imogen might have been in one of those rooms, looking as she wasn't in the Ballroom, in the first place, alongside with the other high ranked Espers, taking about uninteresting and boring, to Anna, things.
Having conversations that Anna would never have.
Conversations about disturbing and important matters or problems, regarding the two Kingdoms or even the whole Magical world.
Conversations that wasn't for unimportant and clueless espers like her.
Not that Anna was complaining.
No... Annabella was happy that she didn't have to think about more confusing and disturbing problems. To include in her already full, big list and dealing with them.
After all, it wasn't a secret that Anna had still many things to know about her own abilities and capabilities as an esper or about the Magical world in general.
A lot of them, to be more specific.
It kind of reminded her, of her childhood. Of the time when she was still the naive and clueless little child, so held up in finding out about all those unexplained and silly questions.
Those silly and easy questions, her parents were more than glad on answering to a naive little child.
But...
But, that's not how things were in Anna's life now.
Many things have changed.
Many new and heavily important questions have bombarded her.
Many years had passed...
And nothing remained the same...
Everything became more complicated and confusingly infuriating than before.
Anna just needed to find a willing 'someone' , to truthfully answer those inner demons that was aching inside of her.
And, she wanted to believe.... She needed to believe that Imogen was the right person. The perfect 'someone'.
She hoped she was making the right decision...
Because, Anna was hundred percent sure, Tenjin, as much as he wanted to help her out of her inner battle, with her weird intense dreams, her uncontrollable and increased new abilities or with her secretive mother and her hidden truth, she knew he couldn't. At least not without her mother's permission, that is.
