The next morning, Anna woke up with a heavy feeling eating the inside of her chest. It was horrible. She couldn't even breath.

Nervousness

She couldn't sleep that night and when she finally had the luck by her side, let's just say that the anxious attacks couldn't help but pay her a visit. Constantly.

Anxiousness

Two emotions that couldn't leave her system the whole last week.

That morning she had to wake up early. Around six in the morning because the portal was about to open at seven sharp. She still couldn't believing that she was leaving Manhattan. A wave of sadness run through her body like a cold knife backstabbing her repeatedly.

She sighed... There's no turning back now. She won't back down now. She was strong. Just like her father always wanted her to be. A warrior. A fighter.

With a newfound determination she got off the bed, losing its comfort, and checked out her phone for the time. Her mood instantly light up after seeing the message that Seth sent her an hour ago.

Go and show them, tigger!

Those simple words did managed to help a lot. It was what she needed.

She laughed lightly and run to her bathroom. Eyeing her messy frame in the mirror, she saw the black bags under her eyes that was the effect of her poor sleep. She made a mental note to herself of putting a little bit of make up to cover them up.

After doing her business, she processed on putting some clothes on. She wore a maroon tank top with black lace on both of its sides and  black skinny jeans. She also put on her black leather jacket and black arvila shoes.

She looked for one last time at her room, taking it all in. She will miss it. All of it. She will miss everything.

Memories came flying back at her. Memories of her shitty wake-up-mornings for school. Memories of hanging, in here, all night with Seth, telling her about his mother's craziness on organizing every item in the house by the color or by the size and complaining about every stupid thing he could think of. Memories of her mother doing the 'talk' when she had her first crush. A horrible but hilarious memory...

Memories of her father kissing her goodnight before the tragic event occurred.

She sighed as she got out of her room and descended the stairs. There was an eerie silence in the dark house although she knew, perfectly well, her mother was wide awake and waiting for her at the back yard of their house.

Her suitcases was already waiting for her next to her mother as she stepped on the fleshly wet grass of the garden. It was a rainy night and the thing was that it was mirroring her mental condition perfectly well.

Thank God, Anna thought, remembering her mother who helped out with packing her staff. She was a life savior sometimes. Other times she was just being her stubborn normal self. A lot. But that's one of their many similarities, so she shouldn't be complaining.

Evelyn looked at the grey sky, having a blanket all over her shoulders as her only protection from the chilly cold air. She looked torn... She looked to be in a dilemma. Evelyn looked like she was still deciding between letting Anna go through the portal or chaining her in her roor in order not to leave. But that wasn't a choosing matter, anymore. Not for her anyway. It was too important for Anna to pass through that portal. Evelyn needed to let her daughter experience and discover that unique world with the many enchanting capabilities and dark dangers and risks.... It was a part of her too, after all. Although she didn't want to accept it....anymore.
