I walked into work Monday morning, wearing tight black pants, a slightly see through pink, sleeveless blouse and faded gold open toed heels. I was getting a lot better at walking in these things. I actually used the blow dryer this morning too, which took freaking forever but it was worth the straight hair.
I got the same looks I did at the party, but more so since everyone around here was used to seeing me everyday. Jungkook was in his office, his eyes following me as I sat down. I had only gotten all of my stuff out when a girl with wavy red hair and light green eyes crouched down next to me. Natalie Titson, her name was. She sat at the desk across from mine.
"You look really good Drew." She gave me a warm smile.
Natalie was always nice to me. She was about 25, so she was a few years older than me, but she still acted young.
"Thank you." I returned her smile. "My roommate finally convinced me to ditch the closet that would make every drag queen ever barf."
Natalie raised her eyebrow slightly. "Are you sure you are not trying to impress a certain someone?"
"What do you mean?"
Natalie glanced back at Jungkook's office. "The CEO's yummy son."
Now I was going to barf. "No." I choked. "Definitely not. I want to dig a pencil into the side of his head."
"Really?" Natalie looked shocked. "He is so nice though. He is a perfect gentleman whenever he talks to me or anyone else."
I should have expected this. Did not. "He's a jerk." I tried. "I knew him in high school."
"He was a boy then, he has probably changed. You can't hold grudges like that." Natalie hit me lightly in the arm.
"He hasn't changed in the slightest." I glared. "I can promise you he is the same."
"The same?" Natalie looked at me with a tilt of her head. "Well what exactly what was he like in high school?"
I looked at him, my eyes low. His head glanced up and caught me staring. His lips formed into a smile as he winked lightly. I could describe this boy with many words, most of them should not be heard around children. One came to mind though.
"He is a womanizer."
"Womanizer?" Natalie laughed at my word choice. "Did he cheat on you or something?"
"Not quite." I shook my head with anger. "Look, do whatever you want, but when he turns into a total classic spoiled rich kid asshole, I will totally say I told you so."
Natalie rolled her eyes playfully, not taking me seriously in the slightest. She stood and walked back to her desk, flashing Jungkook a smile before sitting down. I grumbled low to myself as I buried myself in my desk.
Being charming should come with a nuclear warning.
A red dot buzzed in the corner of my desk, indicating Mr. Pitillo wanted me. I stood, running a hand through my hair and walked over to his office. Jungkook's eyes burning into me again. I wish I could blind him.
"What do you need sir?" I asked, poking my head into his office.
"Drew, I-" He looked up and blinked. "You look very nice."
"Thank you." I bowed my head in a small motion.
Mr. Pitillo cleared his throat. "Anyway, there are some people coming over to look at the performance stage downstairs. Do you mind going down there and making sure they are all in order? All the lights and mics. They should be here in about 30 minutes."
