I came close to falling asleep in the car, therefore not paying attention to where we were going. When the car stopped, I blinked a few times as I looked out the window.
"This isn't my apartment building." I said slowly, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
"Did you not hear me?" Jungkook said from the passenger's seat. He thanked Taehyung and slipped out, opening my door.
"Hear you when?" I stretched my arms out.
Jungkook took my hand lightly and pulled me out of the car, giving Taehyung a nod before he drove off.
"Wait," My eyes widened as I watched the car leave. "Wait." I turned to face Jungkook. "You were serious? About the whole staying the night thing?"
"Of course I was." He started to move up towards the door.
"No no no." I stressed, digging my feet into the ground.
"Drew." Jungkook sighed in frustration, pulling on my hand. "I promise I won't try anything. I just want to make sure they don't come back."
I stopped struggling and looked at him for a second. Kianna and Bryce went back to my dad's place today, and Chris should still be out. I let out a breath and looked at the ground.
"Alright."
Jungkook nodded to himself, keeping his hand in mine as we walked into the building. This apartment building was a lot nicer than mine. The inside looked like a fancy hotel. Everything was shiny and polished. The stairs looked like they were used in a Disney princess movie.
We got in the elevator and Jungkook pressed the button for the 21 floor. I kept my eyes wondering as we slowly went up. He took out his key and unlocked the very end room. Inside his apartment was even prettier than it was downstairs, if that was possible.
Everything was cleaned to perfection and all the furniture looked new. The back wall was covered in windows, showing the beautiful city view.
"Wow." I breathed moving towards the window. "It's so pretty."
"There's a reason this is one of the most expensive apartments in the building." Jungkook said, locking the front door.
I huffed out a breath as I walked around, looking at everything. "Wow, your kitchen is so big!" I exclaimed, stretching my arms out. "For one person this is a little-" I flinched suddenly, my hand going up to my mouth.
Jungkook stopped whatever he was doing to look at me. "What happened?"
I brought my hand away and moved my jaw around, only to wince again. "Just a little sore I think," I muttered, cupping my cheek softly.
Jungkook moved from his spot on the couch and into another room, coming right back out holding a box. He set it down on the counter as he turned the lights on in the kitchen. He wrapped his fingers around my waist and, without warning, lifted me up onto the counter.
"I'm sorry, I forgot." He said quietly, rummaging through the box that I now saw was a first aid kit. "Here." He handed me an ice pack. "Hold that on your jaw and I'll wrap your wrists."
I just watched him for a second, holding the ice pack to my face. His eyes were narrowed as he wrapped my wrists as carefully as he could. He let out a breath after a moment, moving the ice pack slightly to the side. He brought his fingers under my chin, turning my face slowly to the side.
"There isn't much I can do for this." He let out a disappointed sigh. "Just keep the ice on it and later-"
He turned to walk away, but I grabbed his arm. He looked back at me with soft eyes as I slowly moved my hand from his elbow to his wrist. I held up his hand and looked at him.
