We'll take it from here

I slowly opened my eyes, wincing at the headache that managed to pound throughout my whole body. I was tied to a chair in the middle of a room. To my surprise, it wasn't dark, I could see my surroundings perfectly, and I knew exactly where I was.

"She's awake."

I looked up with a snarl to see Sawyer standing with his arms crossed over his chest, giving me a smug smile. It was just the two of us in the room, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were more men right outside the door.

"You really are a fucking moron." I croaked out, still slightly waking up.

"How so?" His voice held humor as he tilted his head.

"Seriously?" I scoffed out. "You took me back to the beach house? That's the first place Jungkook is going to look."

Sawyer shifted on his feet, slightly set off from what I said. "Of course he won't." He said after a second. "There are 20 more places closer that I could easily take you, with more security."

I huffed out a laugh. "Seriously? How stupid are you?"

"Shut up, i'm not in the mood, so don't make me mad."

"Aww," I teased. "But it's so fun."

Sawyer clenched his jaw. "Look, the only reason we are here is because in an hour, a plane will be landing on our private run way, and then we will be on a one way ride to Korea. Jungkook can't get you there, not in time anyway." Sawyer started to smile again. "He will have no choice but to do what we want."

"And what exactly is it that you want?" I narrowed my eyes.

"I'm sure it's obvious that we want his father to re-arrange Jungkook's engagement to Rika. We honestly couldn't care less about that, but since their family has helped us with this whole ordeal, we thought it fair." He started to walk in slow circles around me. "Us? We are going to keep it simple. We want all their money. We can't have them shut down, or else too many people will suspect something. But bankruptcy is something that happens to companies like that all the time."

"Do you really think that something like that will go unnoticed?" I snapped.

"Of course people will notice, that's why they have to come up with an excuse as to why it happened. I don't care what shit they make up, as long as it keeps us out of it."

I curled my tongue. I had to figure out a way to get him to confess about everything that could get them put away for a long time, and him bringing all this up actually helped in a way.

"You want their money." I narrowed my eyes as he sat down in front of me. "Yet, you are filthy rich. How come you are asking for something so simple?"

"The kind of money that the Jeon's have is not simple." Sawyer let out a dark chuckle.

"You're not wrong, but still. You have enough money, getting theirs would be a bonus, sure, but why not ask for something that would get rid of them and make sure they never get back up on their feet? That's what you want, isn't it?"

Sawyer let out a light sigh. "That would be nice, yes." He rested his elbows on his knees. "But I feel like that would take too much work."

"Too much work?" I raised an eyebrow. "I think you need their money."

"Need it?" Sawyer snickered. "You said so yourself sweetheart, we've already got that kind of money, we don't need it."

"Don't you?" I tilted my head with a smirk. "You remember seeing me at your hotel that night, don't you?" His face slowly fell serious. "What do you think I was doing in there, getting a drink? I think you've forgotten that i'm smarter than Jungkook."
