Side note:: ^^^ picture kind works kind doesn't... but I spent forever trying to find something so screw it.
I walked out to see Chace standing in front of his car with a bright smile.
"You look beautiful." He pushed off of the car and walked to the other side, opening the passenger's door for me.
"Thank you." I said shyly.
"So, we probably shouldn't go in the water, since it would be freezing now this time of year, sorry about that."
"I don't mind." I shrugged as he started the car. "Honestly I just like walking in the sand."
"Well then you are in luck." Chace smiled over at me.
The drive was about 40 minutes, but it didn't seem that long. Chase kept the conversation up. He was really easy to talk to. Honestly I was worried about today. This was my first date in- well, ever. But with him right now, I wasn't nervous at all.
"We're here." Chase said, offering his hand to help me out of the car. It was really pretty here, secluded and nice. No one was around, it looked like a private beach.
"What do your parents do?" I looked around wide eyed.
"It's not what my parents do, it's what my grandfather did." Chace explained. "He owned a clinic that was very successful for many years, and my father took over, but most of this is my grandfather's money."
"So what does your mom do?"
"She is a stay at home mom. Has been ever since I was born. She went to school to be a teacher though, but quit her job when I was born and never got back into it."
"Are you an only child?" I asked as we walked up to the porch of the house.
"No, I have an older sister. She lives in London though."
"London." I whistled. "Work?"
"Husband." Chase said. "She moved 3,000 miles for him. I guess that's love." He said with a gentle smile, opening the door.
It made him ten times more desirable how easily he opened up to me.
The inside was just as pretty and cute as the outside. It was very cozy and quiet. I walked in slowly, turning in circles as I looked at everything.
"The best time to go out is sunset, so we can get some lunch, just hang around until then." Chace said with a gentle smile as he watched me.
"Okay." I smiled over at him, hugging my sweater closer to my body.
"Let me see what there is in the kitchen." He said, disappearing behind a half wall.
I moved awkwardly around the room until finding myself sitting on the edge of one of the couches. I watched out the window at the sea. It was really beautiful here, and really calm. I loved it.
My phone suddenly started ringing. I fumbled for my back pocket and looked at the screen, biting down on my lip as I answered.
"Mr. Pitillo?"
"Drew," He said quite loud. "I looked into what you said last night."
"Oh." My voice grew quiet. "And?"
"And from what I found you are right. I am not 100 percent sure yet, but it makes sense. The only thing that is iffy is where the bug actually came from."
"Well, did you track it how I told you?"
"I did, and it came from a phone, a phone that right now is out in-"
