Ivy's POV

The lunch goes by quickly and I don't think anyone noticed that I didn't eat. The newer cut is still hurting pretty much from time to time and it makes me lose my appetite. I haven't been able to participate in P.E., saying it is because of the coma still. But that hasn't bothered me that much since I don't even like it.

When everyone has eaten we go back to the class. The new boys who are here this week don't know where to sit so we just flock around my desk.

"So Ivy, I heard a rumor that you were in a coma a few weeks back. Is it really true?" Chris asks and he sounds so genuinely interested I chuckle a bit.

"Umm yeah. But I'm okay now. I still can't participate in P.E. but that's no loss am I right?" I laugh as do everyone else except for Kim.

"Hey, P.E. is really fun. Don't be haters." Ugh, he's annoying.

"Well we don't like it and we are allowed to have our own opinions. If you don't like them you can go to those guys there, they're the jocks." I shoot back and I hear a few chuckles.

"I think I just might, there is my best friend anyway. Good bye looser." Kim walks away angrily and I laugh a bit. But then I feel someone grab my arm and pull me up from my seat.

"Ivy, I need to say something to you in private." Lauren pulls me away.

"What is it?" I ask confused. Did I do something wrong?

"Since when have you made jokes and been this witty and not that shy little girl that never speaks?" She looks at me in disbelief. I didn't even realize I've changed. It must have something to do with the notes and what Mimosa and Tina have told me. Maybe, probably, even the kiss. I feel my face heat up when I think about that kiss. I had kind of forgotten about it. "Why are you blushing? What have you not told me?"

"I guess I'm more comfortable around boys and you than girls since girls are always so judgmental and can be quite rude. I haven't known any guys before this autumn so yeah. I guess?" I try to come up with a valid excuse. Lauren stares ate for a few seconds but decides not to push it.

"Okay?" She says even though it sounds more like a question. "Well, let's go back." We walk back and I can see Nick has sat down on my chair.

"Hey, get up you lazy donkey. That's my place." He pouts and makes us laugh.

"But you just said it yourself. I'm lazy." He answers.

"But I want to sit!"

"You can sit in my lap." He smirks which makes us only laugh more even though I slightly blush too. Hope no one notices.

"I don't want to." I reply.

"You know you do."

"No I don't."

"Yes you do." He pulls me down in his lap and wraps his arms around my torso so that I can't leave even if I wanted to. He is too strong. But he is pressing a bit too hard and I let out a tiny squeal. He immediately loosens his grip and looks slightly concerned. "You okay?"

"Yeah, you just wrapped your arms a bit too tightly around my torso." It's not exactly a lie.

"Is this better?" He sneakily wraps his hand around my waist and puts his chin on my shoulder. I hear a camera click and I know Lauren just took a picture of us. I giggle.

"Just fine."

"So do you two always flirt with each other like this or is this a completely new thing?" Dan asks.

"It's something new. I haven't seen anything like this before. Ivy has always before been the quiet shy girl." Lauren answers before I have the time to do so instead.

"Okay then. So you are not together. So a few other might have chance." Paul says and I can hear his accent push through. He was French I think?

Suddenly I sense two voices in my head. I don't know who's they are but I hear what they're saying. Don't chose me when you get to the palace, I have a girlfriend. One of them says. The other says boyfriend instead of girlfriend. I look up to see who they could be and I can see the same, slightly pleading look in Nino's and Dan's eyes.

Wait.

So these five new boys are magical. And they're here to compete.
