"Ivy, please tell me what's wrong." I'm still unable to look away but I shake my head slowly.
I can't tell you even if I'd want to. I just can't. I can't put my aunt into danger just because I want to tell this cute guy what's wrong so that he can comfort me. For all I know I might be announced already and he is one of the magic people who is trying to take me to the palace. Wait a moment, did I just call him cute? Oh gosh no! Please no, I can't do this to myself. The accident is still clear in my mind.
"I'm sorry, I can't." My voice is desperate I know, but I cant help it. Nick looks sad.
"Is there anything I can do to make you feel better? Take your mind of the thing that is bothering you maybe? I will do anything to make you feel better." Nick sounds so sincere my heart breaks a little that I can't tell him.
"You could try to distract me? Somehow, just do something fun with me. I haven't seen the gang properly in way too long. Just anything that makes me forget it helps more than you could know." His face seems to be even closer to mine than before. His hand that is still cupping my chin feels hot against my skin.
"I will try my best." He speaks slowly, softly. "Before we go I have something I want to ask you though. May I?" He lifts his other hand and wraps it around my waist.
At first I don't realize what he means but when I do I feel my face turn bright red. No way he just asked that.
Nick's POV
Remember last time? You don't want to end up with geting your heart broken again do you? My brain tries to reason with me.
But she isn't a that kind of girl. She wouldn't do that to anyone, ever. Awww she looks so cute when she blushes, I guess she now realized what I meant.
Ivy opens her mouth to answer.
