Did Someone Mention Food?

Chris' POV

"Did someone mention food?" I ask, excitedly. Nino, Dan, Lauren and Ivy burst out laughing. Oh Ivy, you're too cute. You are like a baby bird I want to protect. You will be an amazing queen to serve. I love seeing her laugh, a smile fits her. I noticed Dan thinking about Ivy and some accident the other day but he quickly hid his thoughts when he heard my question and shrugged it of. I hope it wasn't anything too bad. I hope she finds someone who makes her this happy every second of her life.

"Yeah, food is ready. Sit down please." Lauren points to the table and I sit down. Nino, Dan and Lauren follows example. Alex, Nick and Andrew find their way finally to the kitchen and Alex goes right away to sit next to Lauren.

"Ivy, sit next to me!" I pull Ivy down and she giggles at the sudden gesture. Andrew sits down next to her and Nick sits down on the other side of the table. "Now finally, let's eat!" Ivy laughs at my enthusiasm.

"That was sooooo good! Thanks to everyone who made this heavenly food for us!" I sigh contently as we start to clean the table.

"You're welcome, we're happy you liked it. This was completely new for me too. Dan knew the recipe and wanted to try it." Lauren tells. Dan blushes slightly.

"Thanks." He mumbles bashfully. We go back to the living room and someone suggests that we could watch a movie and everyone thinks it's a good idea. We settle on a Marvel-movie.

"I'll go make some popcorn." Ivy suggest and gets nods and smiles as answers.

"I'll help you!" I get up from the couch were I was sitting. We walk to the kitchen and Ivy puts the popcorn in the microwave. She then proceeds to take out a bowl.

As we wait for the popcorn to get ready I take my chance.

"Ivy." I get her attention. "You know, this week has been amazing and it has been really fun to get to know you and your friends. You have turned out to be an amazing friend and..." I can see her blushing lightly from the compliments. "I have a question to you, I need your help."

"With what? Anything for a friend!" She exclaims and I'm happy I have her as my friend.

"Well you know we hung out with Nick's twin Lucy the other day. She so beautiful and nice and just ah..." I know I'm blushing like a tomato. "I think I like her quite a lot. Could you ask her what she thinks about me?" I'm looking down. I feel Ivy's hand on my shoulder and I look up.

"Of course I will do that for you. You're an awesome friend and anyway I can, I will help you." She smiles, she really is cute when she smiles. But Lucy is even cuter. I smile back at her gratefully.

"Wait, do I smell food? POPCORN!" I scream enthusiastically and Ivy laughs at my explosion.

"You really love your food, don't you?" She takes out the popcorn and puts it in the bowl. "Let's watch that movie." I follow her happily back to the living room.

Ivy's POV

Chris is so cute about his crush on Lucy. I knew he had someone on his mind since he has been a bit distracted sometimes in school. He's a really nice guy and he's like brother to me. As is Dan and Nino. And Lauren is my sister. I'm happy to be able to call them my friends.

I put the popcorn down on the coffee table and sit down on the sofa, not looking before I slump down. I sit down in someones lap and try to scramble up but they wrap their arms around my waist.

"Where are you trying to go? It's okay, you can sit here." I know it's Nick but the words sound like the boy I liked last year and my body goes into panic mode. I spring up with all the power I have and back away. By a reflex I send the word "help" telepathically to Dan, who is the only one here who knows. I realize that was stupid when I feel a small pain on my right ribs and stumble down on the carpet.

"Ivy! Are you okay?" Dan is by my side in a matter of seconds.
