Tuesday was a more cheerful day for everyone. Tuesday was the day Anthony was going to ask Ivy out... Or chicken out, one of the two.
"So you're going to do it today." Julie asked excitedly. Anthony shushed her.
"Calm down, Jules! Yeah I am."
"Five bucks says he wimps out." Romeo whispered to Julie. He still didn't understand why Julie didn't believe in love but still got so excited at the ideas of couples like Ivy and Anthony. She laughed a little.
"I thought you would have more faith in your best friend." Julie raised her eyebrows at Romeo.
"If I know Anthony, and I think after fifteen years I do, he's going to wimp out today but end up doing it tomorrow." Romeo told her honestly. Julie nodded, knowing that he probably was right, after all she had a best friend too and felt the same way.
"I'll still take that bet." Julie smirked at Romeo. She turned to be exactly facing Romeo. Her eyes seemed to light up. Now that she had let go of the hate she was finally letting herself enjoy Romeo's company. If she kept up her good spirit towards him they might actually be friends.
"What are you guys talking about?" Ivy sat down at the table.
Julie decided to force Anthony to take the leap. "Actually Anthony wanted to ask you something. Go on, Anthony." She smirked evilly at her friend. Her glared at her in a half friendly, half serious way.
"What do you need, dude?" Ivy asked.
Anthony took a deep breath. "Um Ivy you're a pretty cool dude- chick! You're the coolest chick, I know, so I was thinking" Anthony's voice raised slightly higher. "Do you want to go out with me sometime?"
"He did it." Julie gloated to Romeo, who looked glad and proud that he had lost. "Here I'll give you the chance to win it back. I know Ivy like you know Anthony. Ivy doesn't like anything she's not good at and she knows she's not good at dating. She's probably going to say no. I bet you five bucks." Julie whispered. In truth she was strongly hoping that she was wrong. She really wanted to be wrong.
Romeo smiled at her and whispered softly. "Deal."
Ivy thought about it for a moment. She shrugged. "Sure, why the hell not?"
Anthony looked relieved. "Really?! I mean cool. That's cool. How's Saturday?"
"Sounds good. See you Saturday at six thirty?" Ivy suggested.
"Yeah that sounds great." Anthony said honestly.
Julie grinned broadly. "They're going out!"
Romeo smirked at her. "Maybe we can double date." He suggested. Julie just rolled her eyes.
