"And that's how it started." Romeo told the group of friends. Ivy and Eric shared a look. What Romeo had overheard... He shouldn't have listened.

"Oh wow..." Eric said about Romeo's story. It was certainly interesting. There were only a couple minutes left of lunch left.

"Hey, guys," Julie sat down at the table. Mark trailed close behind. "What were you guys talking about?"

"Did your meeting just get over?" Anthony asked. Julie nodded.

"Yeah, the dance is going to be way too sappy, but it is for Valentine's Day. Still it's going to be enough sweet crap to last a lifetime. Anyway... What were you guys talking about?" Juliet asked curiously.

"Romeo was just telling us how you two became enemies." Eric said.

"Enemies is a bit of a strong word..." Julie stated. "But I would like to know why you whacked me in the face with my book."

"That was an accident. I just wanted to take it." Romeo admitted.

"Why did you want to take my book in the first place?" Julie raised an eyebrow at the brunette boy.

Romeo's face turned a light shade of red and he mumbled something incoherent.

"What? I didn't catch that." Juliet told him.

"It's because I had a crush on you!" Romeo exclaimed louder than he had meant to. It was Juliet's turn to blush.

"You what?"

"I had a crush on you and I didn't want you to know so I acted like a jerk, okay?" Romeo admitted.

"You didn't want me to know? Well mission accomplished." Julie told him. She hadn't had any idea that he had had a crush on her. She would never have guessed.

The bell rang and Julie felt relief fill her body. The group of friends disbursed, all leaving for their correct classes.
