"My mom said it's actually a sin to love the same gender or something, so I don't do go near that subject," Tyler said as his teacher looked towards him, asking him a question about same-sex marriage.
"Forget about religion. This is school. What are your opinions on same-sex marriage? Not your mother's, Tyler," the teacher said with annoyance.
"Well, I mean...a person is a person, not a sin. The bible says that God accepts all people. He just hates sins. It's not too complicated, really."
"Tyler! Enough with the bible! Do you agree with it or no!"
"Yes."
Gasps came from the whole class, snorts of disgusts as well.
"Sorry! I meant no," he said, looking around nervously. The whole class sighed in relief.
"Good," the teacher said, smiling.
"Anyway, back to what we were talking about."
