Josh took a deep breath as he read the messages that were sent to his phone. He started crying, but he didn't even notice.
His breathing just got harder as he read the messages over and over again, wondering if this was just some type of dream or not.
Josh stood up, feeling very shaky and frail, and grabbed his jacket, slipping it on quickly.
He headed downstairs and looked at his family. They were all sitting together, looking happy.
He noticed his mom start to look worried.
"Josh? Your eyes are red and puffy. Have you been crying?" She asked as she stood up, going over to him.
"Don't worry about it. Just something that went on with Tyler. I'm going out for a walk," He asked sadly, feeling tears spill out of his eyes without his consent.
His mom hugged him.
Josh was shocked. His mom hasn't hugged him since about 9th grade, due to her finding out that he was gay.
"I'll help you through it, okay, Josh? Just promise me you'll come back home, please," she begged. She did a silent prayer that her son wouldn't do anything to ruin his life.
Josh just nodded, taking one last long look at his family before exiting the house.
