Tyler sat next to a boy with freshly dyed hair, blue, as they were sitting on the school's outdoor basketball court. The boy was smiling, Tyler was, too.

Life was great for the both of them. Josh was feeling great since he's has his best friend by his side no matter what. Tyler felt great because he had Josh. His first "crush".

Tyler slipped his hand under Josh's and Josh blushed.

Josh had liked Tyler since middle school, but Tyler never really noticed him.

"Wow," Tyler laughed. "My mother would kill me right now if she saw us. This," he said as he held up their latched hands, "is a crime to her. A "sin"."

Josh sighed.

"I used to be a church boy. But now I can't even go to church without feeling uncomfortable. I'm lying to my mother. Telling her being gay is bad," Tyler said as he shivered.

Josh rested his head on Tyler's shoulder.

"It's for the best, though," Josh said.

"Yeah, I know," Tyler said, resting his head on top of Josh's.

"My mother was disappointed when she found out I was gay. She was so disgusted of what I was," Josh started.

"My dad couldn't even look at me. My brother told me to kill myself. My sisters...well, they were squealing like the fangirls they were. They were happy for me. So happy."

Tyler smiled softly. "Your sisters sound nice," he said. "But I'm sorry about the others..." Tyler said with a frown.

"It's alright," Josh said. "I deserve it."

Tyler snapped his head up.

"No you don't!" Tyler shifted his body over so he was facing Josh.

"You're the sweetest guy I've ever met. I remember when I first saw you...fifth grade," Tyler started. Josh furrowed his eyebrows, realizing that Tyler did realize Josh. "I was like "wow that kid looks sweet" and "that kid is probably the coolest kid ever". I wanted to meet you...I also must admit I had a small crush on you ever since that day...and then one day, you disappeared throughout middle school. Luckily I found you again."

Tyler rubbed his arm, realizing that he said to much.

"I saw you in middle school...all the time. Everyday...and I had the biggest crush on you...you have no idea," Josh laughed quietly. "I thought you didn't know who I was, to be honest."

"Can I take you out?" Tyler blurted.

"Huh?"

"Like...to the movies? Please?"

"Are you asking me out, Tyler?" Josh said, a slight blush upon his cheeks.

Tyler thought for a small moment before nodding. "Yeah, I guess I am," he said, smiling.

"Of course! I'd love to go see a movie with you."

Tyler sighed in relief and stood up. Josh followed in his footsteps.

"I think it's time to go home...let's go, I'll walk you." Tyler said.

"You do everyday," Josh giggled.

"Well, I like walking you," Tyler responded with a small smile.

Josh's only response was a blush.

That was a really big time skip oops. Aaaaaand I don't know how to correctly end chapters so I'll leave it at that.
