⚜chapter 18⚜ The Shadow man, and his cat?

     "What. Are. You. Doing?" You whisper watching the twins pace back and forth. "You're making me dizzy!" Slowly, the both sigh and look straight at you. Then you realize, you probably shouldn't have asked.

     "How are you feeling?" Kaoru asks with a tilt of his head to the side. "We haven't seen you since Halloween." Continuing, he walks forward and gently hugs you. Your eyes are narrowed into a small glare as he pats your back.

"I'm fine." You mumble and he pulls away with a smile. "Say, what was the emergency meeting called for anyway?" They both shrug and lean in whispering on both sides of you.

"It's the boss we're talking about." Kaoru whispers as you nod softly. "It could literally be anything." Hikaru continues as you laughs slightly and the door opens. The three of you turn and stare as Tamaki walks in with a big grin with Haru and the others following behind. Marching forward, his eyes fall on you and his eyes begin to water as he runs forward wrapping you in a hug, well more like a tackle, as he sniffles loudly.

"Y/N-chan!" He cries and pulls away. "How are you?" You stare blankly at him as they others share looks. "Oh! You are devastated! I can see it in your eyes! One of your guest, a cruel monster." On and on he goes and you find yourself drowning out his voice. He continued in big bursts of energy and waving arms until you finally are able to say what seems to catch your mind.

"I don't remember that vase being there." You mumble pointing and walking away as you stare at it. "Really nice..." You hear a small shattering sound and you turn to Tamaki who's frozen in place, almost a shadowing ghost hangs above him.

"Recently got it...." Kyoya states as everyone walks towards it with wide eyes. "Thanks to the money we got from your fans." He says and everyone nods clapping slightly. "Anyway, shall we get to the meeting?" Everyone nods as you all take your seats and he calls forth the meeting.

You shut the door and March out of the meeting hurrying as quickly away as you can. Your fists are clenched tightly as your cheeks puff up in frustration. The whole meeting, a waste of time! The entire time they fought over something in which led to the incident in which you decided to leave. You weren't in the mood to talk about it, or in the mood to argue over which tea is better. Grumbling, you walk around the hall and your eyebrow twitches in frustration.

"They are so frustrating sometimes!" You hiss as you fold your arms and stomp. Catching the edge of the fabric of the dress, you tumble forward and slam your head into the floor. Groaning, you look around and for some reason, you see Two cats staring at you. "Uhh.... Cats?" You whisper and your visions comes to one and you are face to face with an odd looking cat. "What the?"

"Clumsy no?" It's body bends and your eyes widen as you jump back.

"I-it talks?!" You shout and it tilts its head. "Nope! I hit my head to hard, that's all!" Shaking your head and waving your arms around like a mad woman. "Wait a second..." You lean forward and the cat slinks back. There, you find a slim arm covered in a dark fabric. Grabbing a hold, you pull and a dark figure falls forward. "Oh it's a puppet...."

"No he's not..." The cat flies around angrily and you lean up staring at him. "Who are you?" You mumble and he falls back.

"No one important!" He says and you glare slightly as you walk around him and frown.

"Okay.... Why were you hiding in the shadows?" You ask and he sighs as he motions out to the lightened area of the corridor. "Sunlight?"

"Burns me." He states plainly and you have to hold in a laugh as he sighs and the cat scratches it's head. "You wouldn't understand." Shaking your head you smile slightly.

"My name is Y/N!" You say holding out a hand and he stares at you. "Um.... This is where you shake my hand and tell me your name!"

"Right..." He whispers extending a hand out and you take it. "Umehito Nekozawa." He mumbles and you tilt your head to the cat puppet. "This is Beelzenef." He says with a small smile. You nod as you lean back and examine him. His face is hidden under his dark hood and his bangs lay into his eyes in which you can't see them.

"So Umehito." You mumble and he nods as you lean forward. "They sun burns you? Like... A vampire?"

"That is something of a myth. Mine is real!" He states plainly and you nod as you turn. "Why did you leave the host club if their charades haven't even began yet?"

"Oh, I'm in the host club." You mumble and his body rises as if he's surprised.

"A female host?" He whispers tilting his head and he looks at the cat. "How strange." You hold back your sarcastic comment over the fact that he's a shadow man with a puppet cat for a friend and smile. "So you must know Ootori." He says it slightly lower with a hint of distaste.

"Kyoya?" You whisper as the cat nods and you nod back. "Yeah, he's kinda our banker.... You know Kyoya?"

"Yes." He says blankly then sighs as he shrugs. "He and I aren't on the best or terms." He whispers as you nod slightly and he turns to look down the hall. His face scrunches up and he covers his eyes as he sinks back into the shadows. "You never met me." He whispers and you tilt your head in confusion as his body seems to disappear in the shadows and you stare.

"Y/N-chan!!" Hikaru runs up as you turn to look at him. "What are you doing?" He mumbles looking around and you point to the shadow but he grabs you before you can explain. "Common!" He cheers and you're dragged along as you sigh. "What are you doing this weekend?" He asks tilting his head and you think back over plans.

"Nothing." You mumble and he smiles patting your head with a happy and cheerful smile. "Why?"

"Well! You have plans now!" He cheers happily. "I'll be there to pick you up at 10:00, remember that alright?" He asks with a small wink as you stare and once more you are dragged towards the class you so happen to have with him. Your mind still not fully wrapped around what just happened.
