Angel's POV
I didn't even bother to show up to that bullshit wedding. Why would I? He's been calling all day and Angelina and Mario know not to answer it by now. There was a knock on the door and I held my pregnant stomach. Marshall walked in and sat down in the living room.
"What the fuck Angie?"
"What?"
"What the hell is your problem?"
"I can't buy your love, don't even wanna try. Sometimes the truth won't make you happy, still I'm not gonna lie. But don't ever question if my heart beats only for you, it beats only for you. When you fall and then can't pick your happy off the ground. When the friends you thought you had haven't stuck around. Yeah. That's my problem."
"Yo, you seein' somebody else?"
"No. When the skies are grey and all the doors are closing and the rising pressure makes it hard to breathe. When all I need's a hand to stop the tears from falling you aren't no where to be found so, fuck you and Kim. I'm done being the mistress. When this baby is out of me I'm out. You'll never hear from me like ever.
"My kids-"
"Yo you can have the damn kids." I meant every word. And I did several months later. Angelina was 18 and I left. I took off some where he'd never find me. Hampton, Virginia. I've been here for five years. I didn't even go to DeShaun's funeral. I didn't go to my daughter's wedding nor birth of her first child. I didn't even go to the hospital when Marshall overdosed and here I am 3 years later. Dying from a gunshot wound that wasn't meant for me. The sad part is I was coming back to see him and my kids. So, I decided the best way to die was to crawl and crawl until I got back to the old house Marshall used to live at 19946 Dresden street. Knowing his fans, someone would find me. I just hope and pray to Jesus and God that he doesn't.
