the audition

"rolling." the director said and pointed to me

"hi, my name is lia matthews and this is my audition for the part of sam, in the movie perks of being a wallflower."

i started my lines and in the middle of a sentence

"i want you." the director says and puts the pen back in his mouth

"um, i wasnt finished." i pull my hair back with my hand

"you want it? or not, listen sweetie im saying i want you for this role, if you decline i have a line of girls behind that door who would love this offer." he says being snobby

"yes sir, i do."

"very well then. we start shooting in a week. be sure to get your assistant mimi to get you a script." he nods and makes eye contact with me harshly as i nod

i out the door to grab my things and go to the gym.

"hey!" mimi smiles as she comes up behind me

"hey." i smile

"where are you headed?" she asks

"just to the gym. hey, do you have the script?"

"oh yeah!" she pulls a large packet out of her purse

"awesome thank you." i say taking the script and placing it in my bag

"can i join you at the gym?" she says in a hopeful tone, i didnt want to decline. i mean she did get me all these amazing spots and auditions. but i knew i shouldnt becasue i was starting to become very attracted to her. maybe she never saw my wedding ring and thats why shes keeps hitting on me. i mean its hard to miss, its been over a week of it on my finger and i still drool when i see it.

"sure." i blurt looking at her smile get larger

we walk out of the building and see photographers, great. i thought it couldnt get worse.

we kept walking trying to avoid them as best as we could. mimi was a model before she was a recruiter so she was kinda use to it, as for me. still very new. the photographer got in my face and yelled "LIA OVER HERE OVER HERE!!! IS IT TRUE YOU AND RUBY ARE GETTING DIVORCED?" the man got in my face it looked like we were about to kiss. the man was bald and scary looking flashing his camera right in my face, mimi grabbed me from my hip and yelled back in his face "PLEASE BACK UP!!" she said holding her hand out and had the other one in my hand. yes we were holding hands. yes i knew the minute this got out rumors would spread like wildfire just as ruby told me before. but mimi was just being a good friend.

we finally got to the gym and there where magazines in the lobby. i looked over and one was me and mimi at the coffee shop laughing and the headline was "LIA MATTHEWS A CHEATER? READ INSIDE TO FIND OUT!" i smiled to myself, how dumb do people have to be to realize i would never cheat on my wife.

we checked in the front with our cards and went to the locker rooms they had and we changed into work out clothes like yoga pants and tank tops. mimi was watching me change and i noticed as she couldnt take her eyes off me.

we went to the treadmills and then to the yoga room where we did an hour and a half long class which usually makes me regret even going to the gym but this time i was okay.

we walk out of the yoga class and my phone rang it was ruby trying to facetime me, she knew about all the auditions and photo shoots and she knew about mimi but not all about mimi. she was probably calling to see how my audition went today

"hey beautiful!" rubys voice comes on my phone

"hey babe!"

"how was your interview?!?"

"i got it!" i practically yell

"awesome babygirl!! i knew you would!" she smiles brightly

"are you at the gym,!?" she questions

"yeah! im with mimi." i turn the screen to a hot sweaty mimi smiling and waving to the camera

"hello!" ruby smiles

"listen were gonna get changed and probably grab something to eat. can i call you later?" i ask

"of course. actually il call you around 5 i have stuff i need to get done." she says getting upset

"okay, i love you!" i say and she just looks at the phone and hangs up

"yikes, she seems mad." mimi says as she takes her top off exposing her black bra that i try to ignore.

"yeah. ill call her later. did you see the magazines in the front?" i ask

"yeah! the press is absolutely insane!" she rolls her eyes

"im just scared ruby will think somethings going on." i say getting dressed

"well if i were her i would make my way back home because your kind hot stuff." she winks

"haha.." i shrug the comment off as well as i could

we finally part our ways and i go to ashleys house

"hey girl!" she smiles and opens the door

"wow ash, your house is massive! must be nice having a rich daddy!" i stick my tongue out at her

"oh shut up you brat!"

"how have you been?" i ask her sitting on the couch

"im okay. this baby bump is really annoying!" she laughs

"yeah its gotten bigger since ive seen you!"

"well... yeah its a baby its suppose to get bigger."

"oh be quiet!" i throw a pillow at her

"so whats up? i heard you and ruby are divorcing now." she laughs jokingly

"oh my god! i know right? the media will say anything! no me and ruby are okay!"

"okay?"

"well yeah i think shes a little mad at me."

"um, why?"

"ive been spending a lot of time with mimi my friend who got me the modeling jobs and today my interview for the part in the movie which i got by the way thanks for asking!" i laugh

"oh gosh i forgot! thats asweome lia! congrats!" she smiles

"the press and the magazines are probably getting to her. have you and mimi done anything?"

"um, well.."

"tell me lia!"

"she kissed me. and that was it i told her i was married and happy and i didnt want it."

"you need to tell ruby."

"i will not tell ruby anything, it was one kiss. one and it meant absolutely nothing to me."

"too you,"

" what?"

"what if mimi likes you more than a friend? you have to watch out for her!" ashley says getting serious

"what no! shes just a friend and you and ruby have nothing to worry about!"

"okayyyyyy.. just dont screw stuff up with ruby. i would hate to see the after math of that."

"i know, im not loosing ruby. shes the best thing that ever happened to me. nothing will go wrong. when ruby calls me i will make sure to explain everything and tell her she has nothign to be worried about!" i say smiling

"okay, hey are you free tomorrow?"

" no, i have to shoot for calvin klien again tomorrow and then in a week i start shooting for the movie!!!" i squeal

"ugh. when can you and i just hang out without your fancy clothing line and modeling and acting.?" she groans

"soon! i love you! i gotta go home and do some work." i say walking out the door blowing kisses
