i walked and i walked until i couldnt. i couldnt handle the hate on social media. i couldnt handle the jealousy, ahsley was pregnant, i called my grandma in washington"hello?"
"hello dear." my grandma asnwered
"hi." i cry into the phone
"are you okay?" she sounded concerned
"im okay grandma. i just miss you. i need you,"
"what about your father hun? he'll never let you come here to see me."
"im not home. i left."
"left where?"
"i went on a trip with my friends."
"oh sounds nice." she smiles through the phone
"and were going to washington as our last stop and i thought i could finally see you after all these years?"
"of course sweetie i would love to see you."
"i love you grandma."
"i love you more sugar. will you call me when your here?"
"of course." i hung up the phone
even talking to her made me feel better. i looked around and saw ruby. she was looking through the crowd of people at me sitting at the park bench.
"lia." she says getting closer
"im sorry. i didnt mean what i said."
"please lia look at me."
"me and emma didnt do anything."
"we were not!" she starts to cry
"im so sorry."
"i know." i finally reply
"its okay." i say
i held her, and she held me back. i didnt want to forgive her but i knew if i didnt i would never be able to forgive myself we walked to the parked bus and slept in there and we didnt say another word to eachother we just held our bodies close.
"goodnight my love." she says kissing my forehead
"goodnight ruby."
