7:29 A.M. Colorado High

When Eddie and I arrived at school, I thought about the agreement we made. The only thing I couldn't figure out was:

Why does he want to have lunch with me? Will something happen when I go? The thoughts wouldn't just end.

"Sup!!" a voice called behind me, simultaneously making me jump. I turned to see a smiling face that belonged to Kevin.

"Hey, Kevin," I responded.

There was a pause between us.

Did I do something wrong? I thought.

"So," he elongated the word, "I saw you in the car with that senior, Eddie."

The hairs on my neck stood up. Was I that obvious, did anyone else see me?! Did they think something was going on?!  Just when I thought I got a break. I realized yestersday's term returned. Why do they speak of Eddie that way?

"How do you know him?" he asked.

I hesitated, thinking over which response would be most appropriate. Should I tell him that he stayed at my house last night, and took a shower in my bathroom?!

"I uh- my uh-." I couldn't seem to finish my sentence.

Kevin's eyes were staring at me so intensely that my brain began to overreact. I thought he was starring into my soul at this very moment, reading my thoughts.

"Don't worry, it's your business after all," he laughed. "Just be careful around him."

All the tension in my body released all at once. I felt like I wanted to collapse at the sudden relief.

Careful? Is Eddie that bad of a person?

"Ready for our," he paused for dramatic effect, "Second day of SCHOOL?!"

I felt that Kevin was the type of guy who tried his best to bring a smile to a person's face.

I nodded, my words were still locked after the thirty second interrogation.

After a few seconds of awkward silence, mostly my fault, Seamus approached from behind Kevin.

"Yep, our second day, let's begin this horror fest," he said while patting Kevin's shoulder.

"Dude! How did you know we were talking about that?" Kevin jumped.

"Obviously because of your shouting. I could hear you before I even stepped on the school's campus," Seamus responded.

I was beginning to become fond of Seamus' sarcasm. Maybe I was overreacting before, I quite enjoy it.

"Hey guys." The voice sent a chill up my spine after noticing who it belong to.

The memories of our kiss were gone but now to be reborn at the sight of Steven.

"Sup yo, second day of school bro!" Kevin sounded as enthusiastic as the first time he said it.

Steven smiled, "I know right, today is the day we get lockers and books."

Kevin winced, "Dude, that is the complete opposite of what I meant, besides how is that exciting again? That only means I have to carry a thousand books that way 100 pounds each, or be forced to pay for a locker that doesn't deserve a price."

I wondered if I would get a locker, then again it's probably as useless as Kevin described it.

"I'm willing to share a locker then," Steven smiled. A flush of gratitude appeared on Seamus' and Kevin's faces.
