(Friday) 5:46 P.M. El Chicos

It has been a month and a few weeks since I discovered my new found love interest: Kevin. The October winds were swiping the state and everyone was preparing themselves for the awaited holiday, Halloween. There was six days remaining until the pumpkin day ignited.

I was off today but I decided to head over to El Chicos and chat with Max, my friend in college and neighbor.

Max and I became great friends ever since we first met and our relation with each other improved greatly being that we lived directly next to each other. I managed to learn a few things about his past and I shared mine. He was always there for me when I found myself in some sort of love quarrel.

Lately, I've been avoiding the four main characters of the love quarrel: Eddie, Steven, James, and Kevin. When Kevin and Eddie compromised, everyone became friends to an extent; mostly because it was strange to suddenly become friends with people who you despised for two to three years. Being that everyone was together, there was no possible way for me to handle all four interest at once; so I'd usually avoid when the groups were together. They've all confessed to me, in a certain manner, so I wasn't able to immediately choose who exactly I liked; which is why I was here.

I was seated at a booth, watching as Max finished the daily process of being a waiter by cleaning the tables. When he was done, he grabbed his cleaning utensils and headed for the back room where all janitorial equipment was placed.

"Finally," he said, sitting on the other side of the booth, "You'd think people would have the decency to get most of the food in their mouths."

"That would be asking too much," I laughed.

He managed a tired smile. "So, what are you doing here? I thought teenagers had fun on Fridays."

"I guess I'm taking a break from being a teenager?"

"How come? Something happened?" Max asked.

I shook my head. "It's just, I don't think it's healthy to maintain a questioning friendship with peers."

"Okay, explain."

"Well," I began, "How am I supposed to deal with four possible relationships with guys; each one being a friend of mine? At first, even when it was just Eddie, I was just as indecisive as I am now. I haven't change a bit but the situation became worse."

Max thought over the ordeal. "So, you're trying to single them out right?"

I nodded. "I guess so. Even if I do choose one of the guys, I could ruin the newly found friendship and this time I would be responsible."

"Ha! You had such a hard time solving a problem that had nothing to do with you, so how are you going to solve one directed at you?" Max laughed. "But, I don't think it can be helped. You can't lead them all on Aleks."

"It's not like I wanted four guys to fall for me, it just happened."

I wasn't sure if I meant that. I always figured I was only into girls until Steven and I kissed. I'd even felt enticement when they all kissed me, yet afterwards I would become a questioning mess. In the end, I would doubt it even happened, but when I'm almost convinced that it was nothing, the process would start all over, progressing to a new interest in guys.

Max laughed at my comment intensely; a reaction that shocked me completely.

"What?" I asked, curious on what could have been so funny.

"Wow," he spoke after his laughter died out. "Some girls can only wish for at least one or two guys would fall for her, yet you hate the attention."
