(Tuesday) 9:00 A.M. Senior House

I pulled into the senior house driveway in my car and shut the engine off with a swift twist. I opened the door and jumped onto the stone pathway, galloping to the front door. When the door was in reach, I knocked greatly, hoping Eddie wasn't asleep.

I wasn't sure why I ditched school to check up on Eddie. I knew I wanted to apologize for being the reason he was sick but I also just announced to the whole school that I liked Eddie.

That I loved him! My conscience corrected me. How could I say I love him?! The moment didn't hit me as hard as it did now.

The door opened, exposing a dull-eyed Eddie. He was dressed in a gray t-shirt and purple basketball shorts. His hair was pressed against his head with a spare few hairs that sprang upward. He slowly examine me before recognizing my face, "Aleks?" He looked pass me at the driveway to see I was alone. "What are you doing here?"

Before speaking I reached for his forehead and placed my hand firmly on it. His head didn't seem abnormally warm at all so I was relieved he didn't have a fever.

He looked at me skeptically. "Are you going to answer my question?"

"Are you sick?" I returned.

"Sick? he echoed, "I was a few days ago. Why?"

A few days ago? I remembered James. Why did he lie then?

I looked up to a smiling Eddie, his lips curved slightly. "You were worried about me my little puppy?"

Immediately he began to make my face burn. This affect he had on me was practically noticeable.

He smiled in triumph, "You were worried! Aleks you're so adorable."

"That's not why I'm here!" I hurried to hopefully defend myself, "I'm here because Steven told me to...get something! For the club!"

"Why do you care about our club?" he asked.

"If you weren't out of school so much, you would know that I'm apart of it now," I remark smugly. I pushed pass him with confidence to keep the upper hand, though I knew once I reached the end of the hall, my plan was going to end with Eddie on top.

I heard the door shut, followed by footsteps. "What do you mean? I thought Computer Lit. was full," he followed.

I stopped at the command center and scanned the room convincingly. "Well, Steven made it possible for me to join without removing anyone."

Eddie walked pass me and sat on the lower step of the stairs. He stretched backwards and onto the other steps, extending his legs forward. "So what are you looking for anyways," he let out a long yawn, "I may not know much about computers but I'm pretty sure I could help."

My arrogance lead me into a horrible trap that I had to solve myself. It's funny when your own conscience plays against you almost every time. I continued my scanning until I made a full sweep of the room. "Eddie, if you aren't sick why have you been absent lately?"

"Hmm," he hummed, "I did get sick and went to the doctor to get a check-up. He suspected flu and gave me a few days off, but the next day I was feeling way better than before. I guess even sicknesses can't keep me down for long." He finished with a laugh that echoed throughout the room. "Once again, why does my well-being matter to you?"

I scoffed, "Can I not care for a person without it being suspicious?"

"Nope," he laughed, "Especially if it means being alone with the person you care for." He stood up from the stairs and strolled towards me with swagger. When he was in front of me, he leaned over to match my height. "Did you come over here to have a little fun?"
