Getting Set Up?

10:12 A.M. Colorado Mall Plaza

I was reluctant that Max agreed to take me to the mall to help Tiffany after yesterday. He said he actually had fun when my friends came over. I felt myself smile as I waited for Tiffany. I wasn't sure what use I would be of Tiffany because I never really chosen gifts for anyone. I've never even met her father so my suggestions will only add on to my uselessness. My cellphone sent out a small but lively tone from my pocket. I received a text message.

Tiffany: Sorry, I never told you where we would meet. I'm in BrainFreeze. BrainFreeze was a sno-cone center with a variety of flavors. After Eddie took me to the mall for the first time, I decided that I would like to go again. Being friends with Kevin, and everyone else, granted me my wish. Whenever we met up on Fridays or Saturdays, we would always go to the mall and search for things to do. There were a ton of stores to choose from; which is why we'd go very often. 

After placing the cellphone in my pocket, I headed for BrainFreeze. 

When I arrive, I opened the door and the cold air inside, rushed outwards. It felt as if I just opened the doors to a freezer. I scanned the room for Tiffany. No results of her. What is she doing? Why did she say she was here, if she's not? I brushed off the thought and sat in the nearest table, staring outside the window next to the door.

"Hey," a voice spoke next to me. My body froze, not because of the air, but because of shock. I closed my eyes and slowly turn to face this stranger. 

When I was fully rotated, I opened my eyes. My heart beat fastened. Eddie?!

"Wha-.. What!- are you doing here?!" I managed.

He laughed. "What? Do I need a pass or something? I'm living my life." Duh! I need to relax, I can't let him see the effect he has on me.

I calmed my features and glance into his eyes. "Never mind then." I faced the window again. 

He sat down next to me, causing my calm features to return to a shocked phase. Why must he make things hard for me? 

"I'm sorry." 

His apology seem to have made the atmosphere more serious. 

"What?" I faced him. His brown eyes looked into mine. I noticed features that I've never notice before. I felt the urge, to kiss him.

"I'm sorry for what I've done," he continued. "Ever since you started school at Colorado High, I've made your life uneasy. I'm truly sorry for that." The sincere apology cause my throat to burn. 

"Do you forgive me?"

My eyes lowered to his lips, enticing me. My brain wasn't registering at the moment. This happens only when Eddie is around.

I bit my lip and looked away; in order to stop myself from being to brash. "I forgive you." I sound quiet.

He smiled with relief. "Awesome. I was starting to believe you wouldn't forgive me."

I began to drift in thoughts as he continued to talk. What now? What will happen next? I guess I used our last confrontation as an excuse to avoid Eddie. Now what? Will something else happen between us. Whenever Eddie came into picture, my thoughts would be all over the place.

Eddie pat my shoulder, dragging me back into reality. "Anyways, what are you doing here alone?"

I blinked. "I uh-.."

I was cut short as James strolled over to the table. "What the fuck? Why is he here?" 

I frowned. Instead of attempting to argue back, I turned to face the window.
