It has now been a few weeks and I can still vividly hear the sound of the gunshot. It was strange to think about what happened back in the start of September, Aneika's boyfriend had been shot in the head and put into a coma. He's probably the luckiest person I know, he gets shot in the head and lives but it was still hard on Aneika, really hard. Even when the police came in time to take away Tootsie she didn't even seem the least bit satisfied.
"Here you go." John smiled and gave me my ice cream cone, and paid the man in the truck. John and I have been dating for three months now!
So that's going for me, the only problem was now that Matts back in town so I had to stay away from all social events, and even had to be a little creative with date places where John and I couldn't run into Matt. Fortunately I knew one place he couldn't resist, and it was the poetry slams at Corki Cafe. It felt silly hiding Matt my ex from my boyfriend John but it would feel a whole lot worst if they were to cross paths. When Matt and I broke up he still had feelings for me, and I had used to have them for him but the issue was that we had different plans. He wanted to travel and I wanted to stay here and finish off high school.
We walked over to a bench and took a seat. "You know you never told me about your ex." He said nudging me with his shoulder.
"Umm.....m-my ex?" I stuttered. How could he know about Matt, I was so careful.
"Yeah, pretty babe like you has to of had to break one heart before meeting me." He smiled biting his lip.
"Yeah umm no his umm... name was uhh....
