I sat patiently doodling in the margin of my notes waiting. Normally his class would blow by. But today it seemed to be going oddly slower than usual. Matter of fact this entire day was going in slow motion. None of my friends were in school today except Tiffany; Zailie probably skipping to go and shop with her new bff Cece, and not sure about Aneika. Could you blame them with the way things looked outside. I slid my phone out of my pocket and shot a text to Aneika.
Where are you😐
-KhariShortly my phone buzzed in my lap.
Something important... Text me later I'm a little busy.
The bell finally rang and I pretended to pack up my stuff very slowly to make sure I was last to leave.
"Wanna talk about the project at lunch?" Wes Fisher asked me as he got up to leave.
"Oh uh sure I'll be there in a minute." I smiled and watched him leave. I went and closed the door after seeing that he had been halfway down the hall. Mr. Breuer's eyes followed me carefully. I pulled up a chair to his desk to be face to face.
"Tell me." I leaned in.
He looked confused and a bit excited to see me talking to him once again. "What?"
"Tell me everything, from how you're married to how you started seeing Jordan." I said.
He had a strange look on his face I couldn't read. He sighed and took off his glasses. "Look I'm not married... anymore, I got divorced a year ago."
I opened my mouth starting to feel stupid. "But what about your little ex boy toy Jordan?" I asked rolling my eyes and folding my arms.
He sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Listen, Jordan is one of my old students that I secretly saw. I was still married when I met him and he left because of that. I switched schools to start fresh."
"So what am I your next thing?" I asked infuriated.
"No your not-"
I cut him off. "Do you have some sorta thing for your students? Am I just one victim of a long line of David's fucktoys." I pretended to be broadcasting a huge sign.
"No I-"
I butted in again. "Is David a student lover or was this all a coincidence. I bet the only thing you want from this was sex!"
He shot out of his seat with his fist balled.
