Madison's POV

Over these past few weeks, I've noticed... Changes in Cas. I can't put my finger on it, but I know it's not good.

The war in heaven isn't going well either. I haven't been there since I came back from what Raphael did to me, and Cas won't talk about it. But, he gets this little eye twitch whenever I bring it up.

Before we killed Eve, she told us that Crowley is still alive and torturing her children. Then, when we told Cas this information, his body became stiff, and he started to act weird.

Before he left, I pulled him aside from the boys and looked at him intently.

"Cas, what's going on?" I ask him while searching his face for any clues.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know. You seem... Off"

"How so?"

"I don't- You know what? Um, nevermind. Just, if anythings wrong you know you can tell me right?"

"Of course," he nodded. I smiled and kissed him, before he disappeared.

Castiel's POV

What if I've made the wrong choice? I mean, how am I supposed to know?

I've started to work with someone who I've never expected to work with.

Crowley.

But, he's made me realize that my interest is conflicted. I still considered myself the Winchester's guardian. After all, they taught me how to stand up, and to have freedom and choice.

"Please, I'm begging you Castiel. Just kill the Winchesters," Crowley pleaded. Which of course I responded with a straight no.

"Fine, then I'll do it myself. I'll start with Madison," he threatened.

"If you kill them, I'll bring them back," I said. Now, the thing with Madison, is she's the weak point. But, I've come to love her, and nothing can change that.

"Just find purgatory. If you don't, we'll both die," I stated before leaving Crowley alone.

I spied on the Winchesters, just so I know they weren't getting close to Crowley. But when I appeared in Bobby's kitchen, invisible to them of course, they were arguing about if they could trust me or not.

So, they already suspected I was working with him. And the worst part was Madison and Dean were trying so hard to be loyal. With every instinct telling them otherwise.

All this hiding. Lying.

My motives used to be so pure.

After supposedly saving Sam, I finally returned to heaven. Then came Raphael... He wanted me to bow down to him, and was so forward on the idea of becoming the new lord. But, I wasn't going to have it.

So, if I was going to fight a war, I was going to need souls. And that's where Crowley came in. He offered that we work together to get souls from the purgatory, and split 50/50 on the souls.

At first, I refused, but then.. After looking at Dean's life normal now, and seeing Madison actually Happy, I didn't want to ask them for help. So, I agreed to Crowley's offer.

------------

When I went to go spy on Dean and the others, Madison called out to me, expecting me to answer, but I didn't. After a few minutes went by, they were attacked by Crowley's best. I was caught by surprise as the rest of them. So, I appeared and killed the demons that he sent, and Bobby and Sam started to give me an apology, and admitted that they had their doubts about me and assumed I was working with Crowley.

Of course I didn't realize it at the time, but it was all over. Right then. Just like that.

---------------

I stormed into the room Crowley was in, and began yelling at him.

"You sent demons after them?" I asked.

"You killed my hunters, why can't I kill yours?"

"They're my friends"

"You can't have friends. Not anymore. I mean god you're losing it. I'm serious, like what? Do you think Madison will still love you after she finds this out?

"She won't"

"Don't be so sure," he threatened. I shoved him against the brick wall and glared at him.

"You are to tell her nothing! Understand?!" I yelled. I will not have her get hurt.

But little did I know, she already was.

Madison's POV

After Castiel left, I looked to Dean and we were both upset.

Cas lied straight to our faces, and we're going to find out if Bobby and Sam were right about him working with Crowley.

We all sat around in the same abandoned house the demons attacked us in, and Dean nodded towards me.

I took a deep breathe.

"Castiel? We need you," and he appeared behind me not a second later.

"Hello. How can I help?" he asked. I weakly smiled at him, praying that he's really not working with Crowley.

"We found out a way to finally track down Crowley," I said. He walked up to me quite quickly, and stood right in front of me.

"What is it?"

"It's you," I frowned and lit a match, stepping back and dropping it to the floor. He looked up at me and looked around at all of us in shock.

"What are you doing?"

"We've got to talk," I said.

"About what? Let me go," he said starting to get upset.

"How long have you been watching us, Cas? How exactly did Crowley trick you with the wrong bones?"

"That's hard to understand. It's difficult to explain. Just let me go. Let me out and I can-" I cut him off.

"Castiel, look me in the eyes and tell me you're not working with Crowley," I said looking straight at him. He sighed in defeat and looked at the ground. At that moment, I felt betrade... We all did.

"Son of a bitch," Dean scoffed.

"This whole time you and Crowley have been going after the purgatory?," Dean asked him.

"I did it to protect you, all of you. To get the souls, I can stop Raphael. Please you have to trust me," he begged. I shook my head at him and my eyes started to water.

"Trust you? How in the hell are we supposed to trust you?" Sam asked.

"I'm still me. I'm still your friend. Listen, Raphael will kill us all. He'll turn the world into a graveyard. I had no choice," he said nervously.

"No, that's bullshit Cas. You had a choice"

"Where were you when I needed to hear it?" he looked at Dean and I. I scoffed.

"We were there. Where were you?" I said staring at him. He looked at me with regret, and I brushed him off and disappeared out of sight.

My heart is breaking... This is not the angel I fell in love with.
