Madison's POV

Dean just finished reciting the summoning spell, and added a message to it.

"I summon you to make an offer. The weapon by which it's bearer can crush the darkness forever," Dean finished and thunder crashed all around us.

Then... Lucifer appeared in the circle, and I lit the match, dropping it to the ground.

Holy fire surrounded Lucifer, and he was trapped. He turned around, his arms folded across his chest, and when he realized I was there, betrayal was basically inscribed across his expression.

Good.

I pry my eyes away from him, and he turns his attention towards Sam and Dean.

"I'm sorry. Your prayer implied that I'd be joining the team, but I'm just not feeling the warm and fuzzy here," he sassed.

Dean cut his palm, and placed it on a sigil, letting Cas take over his body for a moment, but it didn't work, and Lucifer came right back. Ugh, screw this, I need to talk to Castiel.

I exited from my vessel, and into Cas'.

Once I was inside, Cas was sitting there watching TV. I ran up to him, and started trying to convince him, but Lucifer has his hooks in him.

"Come on Cas, do it! Before it's too late," I pleaded.

"I can't, he needs to defeat the darkness," Cas said not even looking at me.

"Castiel, dammit I love you and I can't stand to see you like this. Why would you ever think you are expendable?? You're family to us," I said but he didn't budge, but he did flinch at my 'I love you'.

"While this is all very touching," I slowly turned around to see Lucifer leaning against the door frame. "Really, Madison? You want to put me back in the cage? Well, I'm not going anywhere, and neither are you," he said.

"Lucifer, please. Just get another vessel," I pleaded.

"You know, Madison. I may have a soft side for you, but I don't think my queen has deserved it so no, I don't wanna change vessels," he shrugged.

"Wait, soft spot? Wha--" I was cut off, and expelled from Castiel's body, and back into my own. Lucifer took back control, and the warding failed.

"Ah, trick me? You lied to me. I could've been your warrior," he said. "Eh, who needs you," he said and grabbed the Hand of God.

"Lucifer-" he cut me off.

"Have a seat," he demanded and forced the three of us to sit down. "As much as I get a giggle out of you two, and I do. There comes a time when every relationship has run it's course," he explained, looking at me for the last part.

Lucifer clenched his fist, and started to kill Sam and Dean. I screamed at him as tears started to run down my face.

"Lucifer, stop! Please!" but he wouldn't stop, until the darkness arrived.

"Oh, Lucifer. Dear nephew, how you've changed"

"You were safely sealed away. You're gonna wish you'd stayed there," Lucifer said and began using the Hand of God on Amara, but suddenly, it faded and it didn't affect Amara at all.

She pulled Lucifer to her, and laid a hand on his cheek.

"I think you and I need to have a nice, long chat," she said to him before both of them disappeared.
