Where is God?
A young woman came to our school last week Tuesday and spoke to us. She asked us this question.
"Where is God?"
I don't know about the rest of the people who were there, but I just immediately thought:
"Oh my word, okay this is going to be boring."
Or
"I've heard this one before."
Little did I know that I was going to be blown away. I hope she doesn't mind me basically quoting her here on Wattpad, but I am anyway because I think everyone needs to hear this.
So, it went like this:
Answer the following questions with yes/no:
Is God with the poor?
Is God with the broken?
Is God with the proud?
Is God with the humble?
Is God with the lost?
Is God with the found?
Is God with the murderer?
Is God with the thief?
Is God with the lonely?
The answer to all of those questions are YES.
Now let's get a little deep and you'll have to be a little vulnerable here. I'm going to ask you some questions and answer stick up your hand.
Are you poor?
Are you broken?
Are you proud?
Are you humble?
Are you lost?
Are you found?
Are you a murderer?
Are you a thief?
Are you lonely?
...So where is God?
Do you see why I wanted to share this?
It took everyone by surprise. I sat there and I stuck my hand up for multiple questions and we had to keep our hands raised. She then told us to open your eyes, because we closed our eyes, and I looked around.
Over half of the room had there hands raised...
When the young woman asked us where God was for the last time, we all just stayed silent and looked at each other and then it's like something snapped and we all got it. We all started smiling and laughing and clapping.
I believe God is with everyone.
The homosexual
The widow
The murderer
The thief
The criminal
The addict
...
EVERYONE!
I hope this spoke to you and that you now know that God is with you all the time. It opened my eyes and I'm seeing everything differently.
If there is a Christian group or committee in your school and you're a Christian – join the committee!
If there is a Christian group or committee in your school and you're not a Christian (or you are one) – join the club.
Just go and listen to the them speak, know one has to know if you go. You could take a friend along.
But,
If there isn't a Christian group or committee in your school and you're a Christian, then maybe God is using me to tell you that to need to start one. Give it a catchy name and welcome everyone and anyone. If you need a tip or two, you are more than welcome to send me a message after this.
Thanks for reading and voting!
God bless!
Love, Megs.
