GOD Why?

James 1:2-3

"Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." - James 1:2-3

Let's look into this, shall we? Because that is just something I like to do :)

So, what is JOY? 

Joy

dʒɔɪ/nouna feeling of great pleasure and happiness.

So, joy is basically ecstasy; happiness. Let's go back to the verse. 

"Consider it pure JOY, whenever you face trails..."

Wait...HOLD UP?!

Joy when in trial? Let's check that out first...

trial

/ˈtrʌɪəl/noun

1. a test of the performance, qualities, or suitability of someone or something.

So... a feeling of great pleasure when suffering -- excuse me? 

It is not impossible because with GOD all things are possible. It is just difficult. 

But, guess what? 

"The JOY of the LORD is your STRENGTH." - Nehemiah 8:10 

So, now what?

"Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." 

 perseverance

pəːsɪˈvɪər(ə)ns/nounpersistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

By going through all the these trials, we become perseverant. 

When you are tested of your faith, Satan will try everything. He will tempt you, he will make you feel like the scum of the Earth. He will cause people you care about to hurt you, he will remind you of all those times when you were separated from GOD and convince you that GOD does not really care about you. He will cause disaster in your life and make your life as unbearable as you could ever imagine...

Listen to me now: 

The next time Satan reminds you of your past, remind him of his future!

The next time Satan tries to tempt you, remind him of the power of prayer!  

And the next time Satan tries to bring disaster into your life, just remind him who your Father is, and that you are His precious child and that he has NO hold on you! 

So, keep your head up and remember that if you are going through a rough time, a beautiful chapter of your life is probably around the corner. All you have to do, is wait and trust GOD in your pain.

Guys, this verse is easy to remember and important to have in your heart. If you are going to memorize any bible verse, it should be this one. And I am speaking to myself as well as to all of you readers. 

James 1:2-3
