Our Battle
Different people have different battles.
Pornography.
Self-harm.
Substance abuse.
Smoking.
Your past.
Your present.
You name it. But one thing that I have noticed, is that Christians fight the same battle.
The battle for the Lord Jesus Christ.
The battle against sin.
The battle against captivity.
The battle against pain and hurt.
But get this — becoming a Christian does not making life easier, not at all.
Sometimes it can even make things harder, because you have to resist certain things and it is hard to do, especially an addiction.
But know that the Lord is a mercyful God when you slip up.
I slip up all the time, it is human and God knows that and
God still loves you.
But,
This does not mean you can just sin all the time and because God is so merycful that he'll just forgive you...
NO!
As Christians, we try to become like God, which is impossible, but we still try.
We try not to sin.
We try to love everyone, including the people that hate us.
We try not to seek revenge on someone.
All of the above are the things we try to do.
Christians are still sinners, but the difference between us and non-Chrsitians is that we repent and get forgiven.
There are many battles we fight everyday, small or big they are all the same.
Courage.
Courage.
Courage.
A quality you have to develop in life, it is something you learn through your many mistakes.
I encourage you to become courageous.
Just try.
Remember:
Just because you lost the fight against your addiction or problem, DOESN'T MEAN YOU LOST THE BATTLE!
God bless.
