Heroes of Hogwarts: Being Brave is Believing in Yourself

Chapter 20

At Camp Jupiter:
"Frank! Wake up! We're under attack!"

Before Draco even finished the words "under attack," Frank was out of his sleeping bag. Before Draco finished explaining what happened to Nico, Frank was strapping his armor on. He had feared a surprise attack. He had slept in his clothes.

Frank grabbed Draco's shoulders. "Wake up the others. Prepare them. Get your wands, whatever. I have troops to command." Once Draco nodded, Frank ran out of the tent. He saw smoke and figures. They were demigods, it seemed.

Frank panicked. The smoke prevented him from seeing anything.

"Twelfth Legion!" He yelled desperately.

Please get in order, he thought.

Instead he yelled. "FIGHT THE ENEMY. DO NOT GROUP TOGETHER. JUST FIGHT THE ENEMY. FIGHT IN PAIRS!!"

Then the battle actually begun. Frank couldn't see anything; he turned into a hawk and soared above the smoke.

He saw a portion of the ground not covered in smoke. Strangely, there were no fires anywhere.

Soaring overhead the smoke-free area by the Little Tiber, Frank's sharp eyesight let him spot the wizards, his friends, and some legionnaires.

He landed on the ground and turned into a human again.

He stood beside Hazel. "Where's everyone?"

Hazel shrugged as she unsheathed her spatha. She whistled for Arion.

"Who are we fighting?" Frank asked.

Percy, who was on his other side, shrugged helplessly. "Reyna said it was going to monsters we never even heard of right?"

"Bloody-tastic!" Ginny muttered.

Millie closed her eyes. Frank walked over to her and Haley.

"I have a tip for both of you. This is your first battle, right?" He asked.

Haley nodded shakily. "We can do it!" She said.

Frank nodded. "No doubt you can. If you need help, just come for help. And," he lightly touched Millie's shoulder, "Use your powers. Both of you."

Haley nodded. "Um, I think the wizards need a bit of help."

Frank saw where she was pointing.

Frank grabbed Percy and Jason, then stood on a rock by the Little Tiber.

"Legion! Pay attention!" He yelled.

Everyone focused on him.

Frank took a deep breath. "It's barely dawn. And this battle has begun. Let's go into this with the motive to win. You need help, you come here. Somebody will always be here to help. If the monsters manage to go into camp, everyone will go protect the city. Understand?"

Everyone nodded grimly.

Percy spoke up. "Use your powers. Any way you can."

"We also don't really know what we're fighting, correct?" A fellow legionnaire asked hesitantly.

Jason nodded. "We've fought together before. But, we have extra help this time. And we can do this. Just kill the monster anyway you can."

Frank admired everyone for their bravery. They didn't know what would enfold in today's battle, but Frank could tell they were ready to face any challenge.

"LET'S DO THIS!" Harry yelled. There was complete silence for a second, then a great cheer erupted from the Legion.

Frank rose his arm and cheered like everyone else.
