Heroes of Hogwarts: Being Brave is Believing in Yourself

Chapter 42

At Camp Jupiter:
Frank didn't know exactly what to feel. Not only was he overwhelmed, but his brain was over-loaded with information.

"Frank? Are you okay?"

He lifted his head out of his hands and faced Reyna. Around them was what remained of the Senate House. Everyone had come here to plan ahead, and figure everything out. Of course, some of the First and Third Cohorts were watching over the Camp's boundaries, but another attack hadn't happened - yet. It was only a matter of waiting now.

"I'm . . ." he considered saying "Fine." But he wasn't fine. Was anyone? Apparently, Luna, Neville, Hermione, Paisley, and Ginny were missing. They had last been sighted by Leo, talking to to a demigod girl from the enemy. But, when the enemy had retreated, they had taken the girl with them, and there was nobody left to question.

"Okay," he said hesitantly.

Reyna struggled into a sitting position. She had been lying down on a stretcher, resting from her session with those two teenage-looking people - Gina and Noah. Reyna had thought she heard something about Gina being alive since the Dark Ages of Greece . . . but she would have to be immortal for that to be possible.

"The Senate's convening now," Jason said, passing the pair as he walked hand-in-hand with Piper. The poor girl had fallen apart after she saw the dead Connor Stoll, and she had also been the first to spot Travis and Katie.

"We're coming," Reyna said. Frank moved to help her up, but she waved him off. When they reached the middle of the ruined Senate House, Frank saw everyone gathered. He spotted Hazel, next to Leo, Millie, Haley, Nico, Will, and Harry. He wasn't sure how to act around his girlfriend anymore, considering she was also Cairo, but they would handle that later. In the very middle of the entire assembled demigods and wizards, there was Leila and Dakota.

Frank and Reyna made their way to them.

"What's the game plan?" 

Frank turned around, and saw that Katie had spoken. Her face was dusty, and tear-streaked, but she looked determined. However, next to her was Travis, who was staring ahead in a sort of daze.

"We've got to find Ginny, Neville, Paisley, Hermione, and Luna. Then, we have to wait to see if the enemy attack again," Reyna said, standing tall. 

Annabeth hesitated. She met Percy's eyes, and he spoke their thoughts.

"Who's this enemy?"

Ron sighed.

"Nobody knows."

Reyna's face assumed a thinking face. She held up her hands for silence.

"Maybe we do . . ." she said quietly. Frank turned to her. 

"What are you proposing?" he said. When he saw the deadly glimmer in her obsidian eyes, he stepped back.

"Hylla and I saw Gina and Noah, but she was with them longer. She's assembling the Amazons. They're coming tonight, and -"

Reyna was cut off by shouts from the very edge of the ruined Senate house. Everyone froze.

Then, someone pushed through the crowd.

Jason gaped at her.

"Thalia!" he cried, running forwards to hug her.

"Little bro! What's up?" she asked, smiling. Thalia's hood was thrown back, and her striking blue eyes were smiling as well.

"Thals!" Annabeth said excitedly, moving towards her. 

Percy frowned, but he still nodded to Thalia in acknowledgment.
