Chapter 30

At Camp Jupiter:
Neville cleared his throat. Surprisingly, people listened and ceased talking.

They had already explained what had happened to the Crocotta. Harry was still missing.

"Well....um, hi." Neville started.

"Hi Neville!" Luna said, disrupting the silence. All the demigods looked at her, either confused, annoyed, or smiling.

"Hi Luna. Well, now we face more...interesting matters. Like Hazel, Harry, and Ginny."

"I'm fine!" Ginny sighed as medics fluttered around her.

"You need rest," Hermione said firmly. Ron glanced at her sideways and then at the arm he had slung around her comfortably. He muttered something in Hermione's ear that made her giggle. Draco and Nico both cast annoyed glances at the couple.

Neville pushed forward through the silence and occasional cough or sneeze. "Where's Frank? Has anyone seen him?"

Piper raised a tentative hand. "I-I think I can talk to him. Daughter of the goddess of love, after all...."

"I think that would be a great idea, Pipes!" Jason said enthusiastically.

Percy shrugged. "It would work...maybe."

Draco rolled his eyes. "Wow Percy. It would work maybe?"

Percy shrugged apologetically and flashed a grin and peace sign. Annabeth looked like she was trying hard not to laugh.

"It our best shot!" Reyna said. "I need another praetor! I can't be alone...again." She whispered the last sentence, and the only reason Neville heard her was because he was right in front of her.

His heart and soul went out to Reyna. He had heard that she was alone. Had been for a while. Resisting the urge to turn around and hug her, which he figured she would not appreciate, Neville pointed to Paisley.

"Some weird monster could still be out there, whether or not the demigods said they killed all of them. Go with Piper...oh, and Leo."

Paisley looked up from where she had been leaning lazily against the wall and studying her nails. "But I just killed a freakin' Croco-whatsit! And why is Frank missing again?"

Neville opened his mouth to respond, but Nico had jumped up and was glaring at her. "Hazel is my sister! She probably lost most of her memories because of a spell and Frank's her boyfriend! Of course he worried and stormed off to think like Harry who is responsible for this!"

As Paisley raised her left eyebrow, Ron stood up.

"Harry's a hero! He meant to destroy the monster's memories!" He yelled.

Millie hopped up and pointed at Ron accusingly. "He knew there was a Shield charm around the monster!"

"And he did it anyway!" The girl named Leila screamed from the side.

"For the greater good!" Ginny said, joining the quickly escalating argument.

"He destroyed Hazel!"

"Harry must've had a reason!"

"Hazel with never be the same!"

"Harry's braver than all of you combined!"

"No, Percy is! Hazel won't remember me!"

"Oh, she'll live!"

"Hermione, what if it was Ron that lost his memories of you!"

As Neville tried flailing his arms around for silence, he noticed Luna joining the fray.

Then Reyna brushed Neville aside like she was a queen and he was a mere peasant.
