Lesson Learned

Are you just going to stand there?"

I looked at the students and the first person I noticed was Gemma.

"Err yes.....just give me a moment to open my books"

I definitely was in my old classroom.....I even remembered the smell....but something was different.

I opened my books and remembered what the subject matter was.

"Ok class...you may remember we were talking about a modern interpretation of the Pythagoras theorem......so today we will be going through the works of other mathematicians from the eras and using a modern perspective".

I watched as the students opened there books and realised that what I had said was correct and not any old baloney.....but how was I back in my classroom?

"So today we will concentrate on Pasteur.....any questions?"

No arms were raised.

"Read the theories and then I would like the class to split up into two and discuss the pro's and con's of applying his works to a modern slant"

Everything appeared to be working well......I saw Gemma raise her hand.

"Miss......can I see you at the end of the lesson....I have a few questions"

"No problem....would anyone else like to see me?"

No show of hands.

This was so weird.....had I dreamt everything?

I chose to participate with my students and I was reading up on the subject matter when there was a knock at the door and a familiar face stuck her head through.......it was Michelle Delaney.

"Sorry to interrupt Therese.....could I have a word?"

I turned back to the class.

"Im putting Gemma in charge until I return"

No one argued...I left the room and joined Michelle in the corridor.

"Miss Delaney what can I do for you"

"I was just checking you are feeling ok"

"Of course Im fine"

"Are you sure........one minute you were at the stone circle and the next you are here?"

So not a dream.

"Its ok Therese......like I said.....only you and I are aware of each other.....all the others are mortals too.....and students at this college"

"What do you want Michelle?"

"I don't want anything.......Im a school teacher and I enjoy my job...I hope you do too"

"Of course I do.......but what of Christina and Aster?"

"I am monitoring them too.......we can all be friends"

"Can I ask something?"

"Sure you can Therese"

"Gemma is not aware either is she?"

"No just me and you"

"So are the two of us in a relationship.....me and gemma?"

"Yes you are.......just as I am with Danielle.......but my aims have changed due to these new circumstances"

"Good.........because knowing who gemma is....I mean could I carry on a relationship knowing"

"I understand what you are saying.....she is oblivious"

"Thanks Michelle"

"If it makes you feel any better......Gemma told me how beautiful you are......she also told me how good you taste"

I stared daggers at my former nemesis.

"Want a taste of me do you?"

"If your offering lol"

I turned around and walked back into the classroom.

"Right class......split into two and lets tackle the subject"
