The Dark & The Light ( Sequel to Metamorphosis)

Breach

In the Headquarters of temporal high command there was chaos.....the tremors had been felt throughout the kingdom and the scream from Therese had penetrated multiple apertures.

"The breach between these two worlds has widened Marissa"

"How is that possible?"

"It is obvious to me that the woman you are attempting to find is definitely not human"

I had requested the presence of the 'Soothsayer'....she still possessed the ability to see the past, present and future and her visions were precise and accurate......Her knowledge was requested because of our mission.

"Have you been able to extrapolate and make a determination as to what she is........to help Xanthia in her quest?"

"I have Marissa.....but I fear that Xanthia will be unable to do anything to help the situation"

"Why is that?"

"There are more of her kind.....but not the same"

I didn't quite get what she meant.

"The woman Therese is from another world, we know that much.....she has encountered someone who she knows in her own world"

"You mean that this woman exists in the same form on this other plain?"

"Not exactly.........I can see that this other woman is the same type of being as the other and her purpose is exactly the same as the other but"

I had a feeling that something cataclysmic was about to be told.

"The woman Therese Jakobssen cannot return to her own time because she will be destroyed"

It was all making sense now......a catastrophic event in the other universe was all of her doing....she had created the breach between realities but was not aware of it......her presence in the new universe was not compromised because she had somehow merged with the current version of herself.

"Have you been able to determine what she is doing in this universe?"

"Not yet.....but I believe she might be attempting to make peace with the being of this universe with the intention of taking them back to the other".

I moved across to a panel and pressed a large red button.....A cacophony of music similar to wind chimes filled the air.

"I need to call a meeting of the Supreme Council.....this is a situation which needs an immediate remedy"

"There is more"

"What is it ?"

"This other being has exceptional power.....she has removed these powers from her followers and made them human.....but she doesn't know about Therese Jakobssen or her own powers"

The actuality of all this was finally presented to me.....we needed a clear solution or the whole of future generations would be wiped out.

"Can the breach be contained?"

"While Xanthia is present in this other reality then she holds the key....nothing can increase until she makes contact with Therese Jakobssen"

For all our sakes I could only happen that the first meeting was a successful one.
