Tabitha walked me back into the main room of the nightclub….I went looking for Christina….she was nowhere to be seen.

“Something wrong Aster?”

“Yes….I was hoping that Christina would be waiting for me”

I realised that she would be more difficult to control after all.

“I told you….she went off with that girl”

“Im very angry…..we had a deal….and she cheated with some floozie”

“Hey Aster…..I hope you don’t think that about me”

She turned to look at me…..an embarrassed look on her face.

“No Tabitha….I don’t think that of you…..but it was a mistake….I was weak and took revenge”.

“Its ok…..but I am happy for that weakness…..Ive not had such a good orgasm in a very long time…..maybe we can get together again”.

She went silent….clearly thinking it all through.

“I do like you Tabitha…..but work and pleasure….Im not sure it will work….but if it helps….I enjoyed being with you too”

I took her hand and we walked up to the office.

“Lets go speak to the Boss and then see what happens”

I led her into the office.

“Are you in Boss……Ive brought Aster to see you”

“Be right out”

Aster took a seat and the two of us waited.

“You did good kid……your future is a good one”

She was here.

“Hello Aster”

She looked up….her eyes wide in fear and astonishment.

“Michelle Delaney……what are you doing here?”

“Checking up on you…..I guess you didn’t expect me”

“No….I was hoping to see Melanie Fenn”

“You mean the mother of Gemma”

She began to laugh…..I could see that Aster was puzzled….and then I watched as her face warped into that of Melanie…..the voice changed too.

“What the hell is going on?”

“Did you forget Aster…..I can shape shift”

“But that power was destroyed in you by Therese”

She laughed again.

“A deception”

“What does it matter…..we have kept ourselves busy and made no attempt to deceive you”

“I know……and maybe I should apologise for telling you that freedom was yours….it never will be….not as long as Therese is still alive”

“Cant you leave the two of us be…..we are doing you no harm”

“I know….but I have a different reason for being here”

“Oh….what is that then?”

“I have advanced plans……just to let you know that the black light witch covens around the country are being destroyed...I had hoped that Therese would hand them over willingly or allow us to call a truce but she refused…..so be it”

“Your horrible Michelle….we did everything you asked….we lost the game….could you not be happy with what you got”

“I was….but then I realised I don’t have enough….total subjugation of the enemy is now my aim”

I rubbed my hand over her back….she flinched away.

“And what of Tabitha…..is she one of yours too?”

I turned to Aster.

“Yes I am……but if its any consolation….I don’t agree with this….many of us don’t”

“Now now Tabitha…..we discussed this…..you keep a decent living in return for total obedience….I know about the breakaway group….they wont win”

“As you command”

“Now that I have passed the message on to you Aster….I need to return to England…..the second phase of our plan will proceed as planned”.

The two of us left the room…..I waited for a full minute to be sure that Michelle could not hear us.

“So its true…..your not my friend”

“Im sorry Aster…..but I am……as a member of the anti-coven society I am working for Michelle but also undercover…..meet with me tomorrow morning at the club…..bring Christina….I will introduce you to them…..its not over yet”.
