Unwanted

Chapter 53

Mari's pov
I sighed as I turned back to Jaxon and Jordan.  smiling. I managed a weak smile but turned to look at Fall. I pursed my lips and then smiled larger , his eyes seemed to be sparkling. I knew he was smiling.

I sat down and thought. 'The ashes in front of you. They're somebody. Your parents are proud.' A whisper said.

I stared down at my hand and brought it to my chest The group must be almost dead by now!

I stood up and then said "We should get going to find the others!" I look back at Jaxon and Jordan as they both stood up and put put the fire out.
Fall nodded and walked ahead.

Jaxon and Jordan nodded looking at me, more like observing me. I didn't want to ponder on that for a while so I walked and continued into the forest waking next to Fall. "Jaxon what did you find in the woods? From what I recall you guys came out of the forest rather happy." Fall asked.

Jaxon looked at him suprised that he talked and said proudly "Well we found a wall and I thought it had one of those secret entrances. So I touched a certain brick and it was able to open!"

Jordan snorted and tried to hold in his laughter and said "R-Really?..pfftt!.. That was more dumb than I expected..haha.. If there wasn't anything there you probably would've looked like a mad m-man! Hahaha!"

I nodded as Jaxon looked a little offended and said in defense "Well it worked." I rolled my eyes and continued walking until a wall was I'm sight. The wall was covered in vines and seemed pretty old. The redish color of bricks was now just brown and white.

I looked back at Jaxon as a signal to open it. Jaxon walked in front of me and looked at the wall.

All the bricks looked the same but somewhere on the top right corner of the wall was a painted redish brick. Jaxon reached for it and managed to push it. The brick was now pushed and there was a grumble. The wall slowly creaked open. I walked in and a stench of books and papers lingered.

I turned back to state at Fall as if questioning to him if it looked safe. He nodded and walked in after me. The two boys followed too.

I looked around and saw shelves of old books. That explains the odd smell.

Jordan then said loudly "More!" I was about to scold him but as I turned around light illuminated from his hands.

I felt Fall's eyes on me as I walked closer and saw a little flame of light prancing in his hands.

"Is that a Hell Sprite?" Jordan looked up and nodded as he carefully set the thing on the ground trying not to step on it.

I smiled tenderly  as I crouched down and lifted the thing. "I just put it down! You could've asked if you wanted to hold him!" Complained Jordan playfully.

I smiled and looked at the sprite. I turned to face Fall and Jaxon. "Isnt it cute?" I asked while smiling. Jaxon's face turned a shade do redFall looked taken aback but smiled his eyes glowing.

I turned back to Jordan and looked at the hell sprite.

His beady eyes stared into mine, as I quietly said "Yuuta." The flaming fox appeared before me. It looked at me and looked around expecting to fight enemies but I showed Yuuta.

Yuuta looked at it and looked back at me. Yuuta licked me and whimpered. I chuckled and brought the thing down. "Let's continue." I said.
