I heard my alarm go off, making me groan. I grabbed my pillow and hit it off my night stand, sending it to the ground. It continued to go off, making me get out of bed and turn it off.
"Fuck this." I grumble, shielding my eyes from the light. My head was pounding, and I felt slightly nauseous.
"Fuck hangovers." I grumble again, walking to the bathroom to take a shower. I took one look in the mirror and gagged. I looked hideous.
My hair was standing up, my makeup made me look like a raccoon, and my eyes were blood shot.
"Fuck life." I groan loudly. I walk over and start the shower, letting it heat up. I brushed my tangled mess out with great difficulty. After I finished, I jumped in and slowly relaxed my tense muscles, making my head clearer.
I scrubbed the makeup off my face, washing my hair and body. I hopped out and dried off.
I walked out with my towel around me, digging through my bag to find a pair if clothes to wear. I pull out a pair of shorts and a grey shirt. I put on some underwear and pull the clothes on and go to the bathroom.
I brush my hair out and put it in a pony tail. I put on some Chapstick and used some concealer to cover up the dark red mark on my neck. It still hurt a bit, but it wasn't to bad.
I grabbed my phone and sunglasses and a pair of headphones then head to the door. I slip my black vans on and grab my guitar, then finally make my exit.
The breeze was cool, feeling quite refreshing. The sun was to bright for me though, so I slid sunglasses over my eyes, giving my eyes some protection.
I walked down the sidewalk, looking at all the other students walking around. as I continued, I spotted a few red cups lying on the grass. I look up and see cups littering an entire yard.
I kicked one to the side, hooking my thumbs into my pockets. I look over at the big fraternity house and see about 7 guys picking up trash.
I looked at a few of them, spotting the one that tried to dance with me, I think his name was Josh. He wore sunglasses over his head, and he was moving a bit stiffly, like he was sore. I laughed.
He looked up. "Hey, you're that girl from last night." he called to me.
"Yeah, your point?"
"I didn't get to give you a goodbye kiss." he said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes.
"Why are you walking so stiff, did something get shoved up your ass?" I retorted. He dropped his trash bag, his mouth opened wide, then he took off running, or staggering, into the house, with one hand on his ass.
My jaw dropped. I couldn't help the fit of laughter I had afterwards. A few people walked by as I was hunched over, trying to catch my breath. They gave me odd stares as I stopped laughing, a wave if embarrassment washing over.
I spot a shaded area by a few willow trees. I walk over and sit down, taking my guitar out. I sling the strap over my shoulder and lean against the tree trunk, strumming random tunes.
After playing for a while, I packed my guitar up and laid in the grass, tapping my fingers against my stomach. I closed my eyes, listening to the cool breeze ruffle the leaves of the tree. It was all just peaceful, something I haven't felt in a long time.
I don't know how long I was sitting out there. It may have been hours, but I didn't care, I was just happy enjoying the quietness, until I heard footsteps.
My eyes snap open, I sat up and leaned on my hands. I squinted at the person, trying to make out their features through the light. They stepped a bit closer, until they blocked out the sun, letting me see.
The boy was a bit tall, blondish hair resting in his forehead. he had on a simple white t-shirt with a pair of jeans and white Supras. He had on a green SnapBack and his Ray Bans resting in front of his eyes.
"Hey there." he spoke. I straightened up a bit, fiddling with the end of my shirt. "Um.. Hi."
"I couldn't help but listen to your guitar playing. You sound good." he complmented. I smiled a little, tucking some loose strands of hair behind my ear. "Thank you."
"Mind if I sit?" he asked, sitting down beside me. I shrugged. "I guess not." I said, putting my glasses on top of my head.
He sat down beside me, sighing. "So, how long have you been here?" he asked.
"I arrived yesterday. It's my first year." I responded, leaning against the tree.
"So, you're new huh?" He asked. I nodded. He chuckled a bit. "I'd be careful."
"Why should I be careful?" I asked.
He leaned over, running the tip of his index finger over the red mark. "I see someone's already made themselves comfortable." He smirked. I glanced down at his hand, then back up at him, biting the inside of my cheek.
"I need to go." I mumbled, gathering my things, pulling my hair to the side. He leaned back a bit. "Don't tell me you're leaving already." he smirked.
I felt myself tense. Of all the things I could have remembered from last night, I remember that phrase.
I looked up at him. "What?"
He just shrugged.
I ripped his sun glasses off his face, revealing the blue, slightly bloodshot, eyes from last night. I gasped, standing up.
"You're that asshole from last night!"
He rolled his eyes, "Yeah, that asshole that saved you from getting raped."
"You gave me a hickey." I sneered.
"With nothing in return." he smirked. I inhaled sharply, turning around. I could hear him laughing as I walked farther away from him.
I felt my phone buzz in my back pocket. I was about to grab it, when I realised that I still had his sunglasses in my hand. I turned around so I could throw them at him, but he was nowhere to be seen. I groaned, hanging them from my shirt and pulled my phone out if my back pocket.
You're fiesty. That's pretty hot
I scoffed, sending a text.
Fuck off
Oh don't be like that, babe
I rolled my eyes. He can't be serious right now.
What is your name? You already know mine since you forced it out of me
I didn't force it out of you
I took a sharp breathe. He's pissing me off.
Quit dodging the question
Haha alright babe. It's Niall
I froze. So this was the guy that Cami was stressing out about? I see why.
Don't you have other people to harass?
None of them are as hot as you.
You're an asshole
Sounds about right
I rolled my eyes, turning my phone off.
Once I made it, I walked into Cami and I's room and set my guitar down, jumping onto my bed head first. I took his sunglasses off my shirt and threw them on my nightstand.
I look up at the clock, only 10. I heard Cami stir, and slowly rise out of her sleepy she rubbed her eyes, then looked over at me.
"Hey." She sighed, I nodded to her.
"You want to go out, maybe walk around the school?" she asked, getting out of bed. I shook my head. "It's alright, I walked around today. You can do whatever today, I'm just gonna stay in here." I said. She nodded, walking to the showers, coming back later dressed and clean. I waved goodbye to her as she left. I pulled out my laptop and sat there all day, watching movies. By the time I knew where I was, it was already late at night.
I yawned, putting on some pyjamas and crawled back in bed, quickly falling asleep.
