I woke up, surprisingly in a better mood. I climbed out of bed and grabbed some clothes and my toiletries, almost skipping to the bathroom.
Sophia shuffled out of her room, rubbing her eyes.
"Good morning, Phi." I smiled. She looked at me. "Are you ok?"
"I'm fine, why do you ask?" I laugh. Her eyes widened. "Did you smoke something that made you a morning person? Who did this to you?" she asked, grabbing my shoulder. I brushed her off.
"No Soph, I'm not on drugs. Today just seems like a good day." I shrugged, walking to the bathroom.
"You're taking a drug test." She called to me. I rolled my eyes, chuckling. I closed the door behind me and started the shower. I cleaned my teeth and brushed my hair out, getting rid of the few tangles.
I undressed and jumped inside. The warm water loosened my muscles, making me hum in delight. I washed my hair and body, finishing up a bit later.
I dried off, walking back to the room. I fished out some underwear and put on a coral coloured Tshirt and black skinny jeans. I let my hair down and brushing it out, letting it dry into its wavy state. I put on black boots and put some makeup on, grabbing my guitar and bag.
"Hey, want to grab something to eat?" Sophia asked me as she walked out. I nodded. "Sure, where at?"
"How about Starbucks?"
I nodded. "Sounds good. Let's go."
We walked down to the campus Starbucks. We ordered some breakfast and drinks and relaxed for a while.
"I should head to class." Sophia said. I noticed that she had on some leggings and a sweatshirt, her blonde hair in a ponytail.
"Dance class?" I ask, standing up. She nodded. "We have it for about 2 and a half hours, nothing I can't handle." She laughed. I smiled, throwing my trash away. "Have fun, tell me how it goes later."
"Alrighty, I'll see you later." She waved. I wave back and walk down the sidewalk to my class.
Everyone was there, and when I walked in, they greeted me. I smiled and said hello.
Niall didn't show all throughout class. Part of me was grateful I didn't have to deal with his bullshit, but another part of me missed it.
I made it to drama, and everyone was looking at scripts.
"Whoa, what's happening here?" I said aloud. Louis held his hand out to me. "We are performing a skit, and you are my partner."
"Alright, what's it about?" I asked, taking it. He pulled me up, smiling. "Superheroes."
"I love superheroes, which one are we doing?" I asked. He flipped through the packet, pointing to a page. "Spiderman."
"Sick, so you'll be Gwen Stacey, and I'll be Spiderman, great." I teased. He laughed. "Whatever, let's practice."
"We should find someone to play the Goblin." I said. We looked around until we found Josh.
"Hey Josh!" I called. He jogged over. "What's up?"
"We need you to play the Goblin." I said. He nodded. "Alright."
We used the orchestra pit under the stage. Josh had a hold of my collar, displaying me in front of everyone. He laughed evilly as I cried for help.
"Come on, spidey. Come save your little girlfriend!" he taunted. I struggled against his grip, crying out. "Don't do it, it's a trap!"
Louis ran onto the stage. "Let her go, Goblin. She has nothing to do with it."
Josh cackled. "Aw, trying to save the pathetic human? Don't you see, Peter, you and I, we could rule the world together, be the unstoppable force that everyone fears."
I cried, waving him off. "Peter, leave. Help the people in the fire. Hurry!"
Louis stood tall. "I won't leave without Gwen. Let her go."
He shrugged. "Alright then."
he then pushed me into the pit. I screamed as I fell down onto the mat.
"Gwen!" Louis cried, jumping inside. As he landed, he gave me a thumbs up, making me giggle. He picked me up bridal style and slowly carried me up the stairs. I laid limp in his arms, my eyes closed, Josh ran off, cackling.
Louis shuffled to the stage, slowly dropping to his knees. He sniffled, the cried out in anger and sadness. I saw the lights dim, and clapping erupted in the crowd. He set me down gently, laughing softly. "Great job." he whispered. I sat up, giggling. "You too."
We stood up, Josh ran onto the stage, giving us high fives. We stood in a line, waiting for Mrs. C.
"Wonderful job, you three. Love the improv." She said. We smiled. "Thank you."
We all sat down and watched others perform. Lots of people did really well, if I get the part of Juliet I'll be delighted to work with them.
We watched a few more performances, then were dismissed. Louis walked me to my MA class, I waved to him and walked inside.
"Hey Delaney." called Liam. I smiled, trotting over. "Hey Liam." I said. He gave me a high five as I sat down.
"How are you?" I asked, he smiled. "I'm good, how are you?"
"I'm great. I'm just excited about the party tonight."
"You're going to? Cool." Liam smiled.
We talked throughout the class, the teacher wasn't in the mood for anything, so she just played a lot of music from the Romantic Era. After sitting in there, we parted ways and walked to our other classes.
There was no one inside the art room. Not very much people attending, I guess. I set my stuff down close to the back and took a seat. A boy walked in, stopping at the sight of me.
"Um. Hey there." he said. I waved a little. "Hi."
"Are you taking this class?" he asked. I nodded. "Are you?"
He looked around the room, then nodded.
"Why are there no people?" I asked. He walked over, sitting down. "I was the only one in this class hour."
"Why?"
He looked at the table, rubbing his arm. "I don't want anyone to know I take art." I furrowed my eyebrows. "Why not?"
He shrugged. "The people I hang out with would probably give me shit about it." he snorted. I nudged him. "Their problem."
He laughed, looking at me. His snapback covering his head had a hint of black hair underneath. I held my hand out. "I'm Delaney Irwin."
He took my hand, shaking it. "Zayn Malik."
We sat in the art room talking. It turns out that Zayn lives in the fraternity house that is hosting the party. He's also friends with Ed and Liam. What luck.
"Are you coming tonight?" he asked, walking with me outside. I nodded. "My friend Louis invited me."
"Ah, Louis? He's one of my best mates! He's the only one that knows I take art, well, him and you." he smiled a crooked smile. I smiled. "I didn't know Louis lived in the same frat house as you. I honestly didn't know he lived anywhere." I laugh. Zayn smiled. "Yeah, Louis is a great guy. Always knows how to make someone laugh."
"Yeah, he's a real comic. Well, Ill see you tonight." I said, giving him a hug. He hugged me back, waving to me.
I made it back to my room and set my things down. Cami sat on her bed.
"Are you going to the party tonight?" I asked. She nodded. "Are you?"
"Yeah, some friends I met invited me."
She smiled. "Great, why don't we get ready?"
