I stormed inside the house, sprinting to my room and slamming the door closed. The bang echoed through the hallway as I slid down the door, setting my head on my knees.
"Worst day ever." I sighed.
"Tell me about it." said Cami.
"Cami!" I gasped, throwing my head back, hitting it against the door with a loud crack. She sniffled a giggle.
"Sorry." she mumbled. I stood up, twiddling my thumbs. "So.." I trailed off. She sighed.
"Laney, I'm sorry I was being a bitch last night. It's just that.."
"Cami, It's ok. I forgive you. I figured it was a touchy subject, but I still asked, and it caused a big problem between us. I'm sorry." I said.
"You must have heard then."
"Well I-I mean, I heard around from.. the uh.. upper classmen and-"
"It's fine, what did you hear?" she asked. I sighed, sitting down next to her.
"I.. I just heard that you and Niall... well, you know..." I said. She chuckled. "Yeah, that happened."
We sat in silence for a while, before I asked the question I've been dreading to ask.
"Cami.. did he take your.. your virginity?" I asked quietly. She sighed. "Yeah, he did."
"Did you tell him that?" I asked her. She shooked her head. "I tried, but he wouldn't give me the time of day. I wish I was able to tell him, then maybe we could've been together."
I leaned back slightly. She sounds like some lovesick puppy.
"Cami, why would you want to be with someone like Niall? After what he did to you, you still want him?" I questioned. She shrugged. "There's just something about him."
I shook my head. "Cami, you need to meet someone else. I may not know him, but from him doing something to you a year ago, he sounds like the wrong guy for you."
She sighed. "I know. It's not healthy for me. You'd be proud of me, I'm actually talking to some one."
I smiled. "That's great!"
She smiled back. "I'm actually going out with him tonight, so I gotta get ready." She said, jumping up. I heard my phone ringing from my back pocket, so I pulled it out.
"Hello?"
"Sis!"
I smiled. "Ashton! Where've you been? I haven't seen you all summer!" I said.
"I know, I've been around, exploring with the lads. How's Marissa and dad?"
"Their fine, mum was sad to see me off, Chad was almost thrilled." I grumbled. Ashton chuckled. "Sounds like him. Hey, where are you now?" he asked.
"I'm sitting in my sorority house, where are you?"
"We're about to go to the movies. You wanna join us? The boys would love to see you again, they missed their little munchkin."
I laughed. "I'll be ready in 20. I'll text you the address. Can't wait to see you guys!" I yelled loud enough for them to hear. They all yelled back as Ashton ended the call.
I texted him the address, then threw my phone down and ran to the bathroom, ridding the mascara streaks from my cheeks. I reapplied eyemake up and touched up my foundation. After I finished up, I ran back and picked out a black shorts and a red and white stripped flow tanktop. I kept my hair in the pony tail and put on some white Toms. I put deodorant and perfume on and grabbed some money.
