My alarm clock beeped, making me rise out of my deep sleep. I slapped the surface if the nightstand repeatedly, searching for the obnoxious machine, accidentally knocking it off the nightstand, making it clatter on the ground. Cami jumped up at the sudden noise, her hair a wild mess.

"Will this be an everyday thing?" she asked, rubbing her face. I groaned, leaning up.

"I'll keep the alarm clock from now on." she said. I slowly rose out of bed, grabbing my towels and toiletries, walking down to the shower.

I washed my hair and lathered my skin with body wash, praying that I wake up enough for today.

I brushed my teeth and straightened my hair, then put on some makeup.

I walked out dressed in a grey tank top, black shorts, and white converse. I stuffed my phone in my back pocket and grabbed my backpack, putting my laptop, a notebook and pen, headphones, water, and pretzels inside.

"Where'd you get your backpack at?" Cami asked, putting in a pair of earrings. I looked down at my white Jansport, dusting the dirt off the leather on the bottom, "The mall? I can't remember."

"I like it a lot, I need a good bag." she said, holding up her raggedy purple bag. I giggled, "How long have you had that?"

"Too long." she huffed, throwing it over her shoulder.

I grabbed my phone, reading 8:00. My first class doesn't start until 9.

"Hey, do you want to grab something to drink?" I ask Cami.

"Yeah, let's go." she said, grabbing her phone.

We made our way down stairs, passing by some of the other Sorority girls, Chelsea and Belle. I met them before school ended last year.

"Hey guys." I waved to them. They turned and grinned, waving back. "Hey Delaney, hey Cami."

"Are you two coming with us this afternoon? We're having a car wash to fund our trip to Sweden near the end of the year."

"Yeah, I can make it." Cami nodded, I frowned a bit, shaking my head. "Sorry guys, I'll be at my classes."

"No problem, Laney, see you guys later." Chelsea smiled, turning back to the other girls that I haven't met yet.

Cami and I walked for a few minutes until we made it to the campus Starbucks. She ordered some drink that had too big of a name to remember, while I just had some green tea.

"What did you order again?" I asked, looking at the cup in her hand.

"A double Ristretto Venti nonfat organic Chocolate Brownie Frappuccino extra hot with foam and whipped cream, upside down double blended." she said.

"How the hell can you remember all of that?" I asked with a straight face.

"I just order it so much. It's actually not that hard to memorise, I'm sure you've memorised more things, being into drama and stuff."

"Yeah, but that's for my future. I'd never be able to memorise something so people at Starbucks won't get pissed at me for trying to say it all." I said.

"I'm going to get you to memorise something from Starbucks, and at the end of the year, we'll go one last time and order." she smiled. I laughed. "Okay, let that be our challenge for the year."

We continued to laugh as we parted ways to our class.

I walked into my music class and sat in the back of the room. I set my backpack down, pulling my phone out.
