Aqua's POV:
"How many times do these weird things keep happening? I'm about to transfer schools." A student in the class spoke.
Her friend beside her nodded. There was a blackout this time. No lockdown, no attack......just a blackout.
The projector shut down and all the lights were gone.
The lights above us, the lights in the hallway, and the lights in other classrooms. The teachers from the other classes all joined together in wonder and some actually went to the Principal's office for questions.
Not to mentions outside was all gloomy and dark, even if there was no rain.
Scarlett, Elena, Jenny, and Rachel went inside my class to find me since the students were basically scattered everywhere now."Think this might be Utain's warning?" Rachel huffed.
"Or maybe it's just a regular power outage. " Elena pipped up.
"Maybe." I said.
I walked over to the light switch and continue to flicker it on and off.
Nothing.
Scarlett sat down in a random desk and placed her legs above the table as she chewed on gum. Jenny went quickly to sit next to her and snatched a piece of gum from her.
I sniffed the air.
Mint."Who cares? Everyone here clearly doesn't mind." Scarlett pointed to the back with her thumb.
I noticed the teacher trying to get everyone's attention, saying that even if there's no projector, they could still do work in their notebooks. No one was listening.
"Well." Rachel said, breaking the silence.
"You do remember the battle is tomorrow afternoon right? It might be the last time we get to see each other....or see anyone ever again."
Scarlett pursed her lips. "I'm trying to not think about it. Now you just reminded me again."
Rachel looked down on her feet and a drop of water fell from her eyes.
"No no no no no." Elena said hushing and wrapping her in her arms.
"This is certainly not a time for a mental breakdown." Scarlett said.
I sighed. "Well she is right. We should leave a note tomorrow morning. After all, we didn't tell any of our mothers about it. We only told them that we'd be staying at Jenny's house after school for a couple days."
"Jenny, you stay at home...Not like you're able to go to Demroy anyway." Elena instructed while still patting Rachel's back.
She nodded her head. "Thank you guys. Even in my hardest times...you stayed with me, and I was horrible to you all. I can't thank you enough...but what would I do when you're gone?" She wept.
"Anotha one." Scarlett muttered.
Elena looked around and started shedding tears.
"No stop, you're gonna make me cry." I stammered, already feeling tears fall down my cheeks.
"Really?" Scarlett asked looking at all of us with tears falling down our eyes and snot running down our nose.
"Are you really that scared of the dark?" Some guy snickered looking at us.
Suddenly the lights flickered back on and all eyes were on us.
"Oh shit. " We whispered as Scarlett facepalmed."I don't know them." She said pointing to us.

On our last day of training, we decided to just meditate. Yes, meditate.
We needed to save as much energy as possible.Besides Delmas had told us that there was also a time where you could make rare spells with just your mind. Weird. Yes I know.
We all have only mastered half of the training, but couldn't seem to grasp the last part of it.
That.....was the ability to walk outside our
own living bodies, and it was called Lucrix. She had said that only few of the people could master that spell so us Elementals almost have no chance.
It was also mentioned that only one person in this world had had the ability to attain that.
I'm hoping to be that person...but there's not even a 1% chance that it is me.
Still trying anyway.
"Breathe in." Jenny issued. I took a gentle breath in.
We had told her to be our meditating instructor even though she had no idea what to do. She held up her mom's tablet and looked at the screen.
"Um uh...close your ey—no wait I mean breathe out." I heard sighs and I breathed out.
"Give your attention to—oh I mean focus on—uh—"
Scarlett snapped." Focus on what?! Yesh can't you read?!"She snatched the tablet and looked at it. Her face became red.
I grew impatient and took it away from them. "Focus on your chest growing bigger." I read aloud.
I swallowed. "Welllllll this is junk. Not about meditating." I said quickly, my sweat forming and throwing the tablet in the box.
Jenny chuckled. "Regular meditating then."
Scarlett nudged me on the shoulder. "Hey I forgot, what was the Lucrix spell again?"
"Souls behold, souls untold, lay the future of the past, be the dead, you shall rise, spirits of the living lies."
"That doesn't even make sense. And I don't even remember the first line." She said, crossing her arms.
"Then don't." I giggled as we all sat down. "Criss cross apple sauce!" Rachel sang.
I closed my eyes slowly, and imagine nothing. A blank screen of white with not a single leaf in it.
Then the image disappears, now leaving a black screen and then Jenny's face appears.
I felt a tug on my shoulder as I opened my eyes. "Dinner!" Jenny sang as she woke everyone up.
"It's amazing. You all were meditating for 4 hours! Man was I bored outta my mind!"
Elena yawned.
"My body aches!" She whines."Um I think I was sleeping..." I said unsurely, scratching my head.
"Yeah me too." Scarlett said while rubbing her eyes.
Rachel payed no mind and continued to gulp down the soup.
"Good isn't it? It's my special ingredient!" Jenny smiled broadly. "Seconds!" Rachel held her clean bowl out and grinned, a piece of chicken stuck in her teeth.I smiled. Too bad this is the last time we're gonna be eating her food.
Since it's going to be our last time with Jenny, we decided to have a sleepover. As we were falling asleep, Scarlett whispered to Jenny.
"Jenny if you're awake....I just want to...." She sighed. "Thank you. For everything."
I heard Jenny's soft giggle as we fell into a deep sleep.
"No, thank you." She whispered back as a small smile spread across my face.
