Scarlett's POV
I trudged down the hallway purposely in frustration, hoping someone would end up asking me what's wrong. But it's hopeless.
I'm pretty invisible here at YAN high school.
It was a stupid school anyway...why is it even named YAN? Sounds like yam.
Can't blame these people though. I always looked like I just stepped on fresh gum.
I heard very clicky footsteps and my eyes immediately darted to that area of the hallway.
Some girl looked around restlessly, back and forth. Back and forth.
It was like she was being stalked or something.
She noticed I was looking at her and walked towards me.
"Woah woah." I exclaimed loudly. She was right in front of me in no time. How did she get here so fast?
Everyone looked at me.
Well that's one way to get attention.
" Hey, I'm Rachel."
She ignored my woah's.
"I'm new to this school, so can you maybe, I don't know, show me around?"
I looked in amazement with my mouth open. Even though she was a bit crazy at first, I still managed to get her attention. Somehow. I don't know how though. I probably have the eyes of an angel.
"Uh...sure?"
"Great! Thanks!" She said quickly.
"Actually I don't know the place, but name's Scarlett." I told her, still a bit freaked out by her speed.
"Gee..aren't you like a Junior here? How come you don't know?" She questioned sassily.
"Are you assuming my grade?"
She shrugged. "I mean, you look like one."
This girl is creepy.
"Well damn ok." I pointed to the right side.
"Room 210, 211,212 etc."
I pointed to the left.
"Room 209, 208, 207, and so on. It isn't that hard."
Rachel smiled weakly. "Yeah I got it, thanks Scarlett."
"I'm kinda well, late for class so gotta run. You should too actually." I ran straight down in my class not even bothering to ask what classes she had.
Because I'm socially awkward like that.
"Well, see you around!" She hollered. "I'm never late." She added, smiling.
