Amanda's P.O.V
I was running for so long I began to not even feel my legs. When I got to the Nightly double I told the gang what was happening to Gabi. Before I knew it Johnny and Pony sprinted off, Johnny  running much faster than Pony. Everyone else runs with me to find her. When we finally get there, Johnny and Pony are fighting the soc boys. Gabi was unconscious and Johnny picked her up and ran to the Curtis house. If anyone could fix her up, it was Darry. I couldn't stand seeing my best friend in that state and before I understood what could happen I was crying. Dally saw this and ran over and engulfed me in a hug. He was so warm and smelled kind of like cigarettes. He told me it was going to be ok and that Gabi would get through this. It was at that moment that I knew, I should be with Dallas.  I looked up at him and he leaned in and I closed the gap. We were kissing. I smiled into the kiss. His hands shifted from my shoulders to my waist. And mine went from his waist to his neck and one in his un greased hair. His lips felt like pillows. They were so soft. I pull away for air. Our foreheads touch and I look him in the eye still breathing heavy and he asks. "Amanda, will you be my girl?" I nod yes and kiss him again.

Soda's P.O.V
I was about to go and comfort Amanda but Dally got to her first.  They hugged and then they KISSED!!!!! I can't believe that. I thought that she liked me. But I guess not. But my feelings will not go away. Then I heard the words that crushed me. "Amanda, will you be my girl?" Dallas just asked a girl to date him. That's a first. Dally doesn't fall for girls. Girls fall for him. It was at that moment that I realized that Dallas Winston is going soft!!! I've got to tell the gang.
----------the next day---------
I wake up holding Amanda. She slept with me last night because she was scared to death. She wakes up. Gets up and walks to the kitchen. When I ask her what she is cooking she says french-toast. When she is almost done cooking she asks me to set the table and wake the others. So now I get my revenge on Pony for yelling  at me to hurry up yesterday. I walk by the room and scream as loud as possible.
"PONYBOY, AND DARRYL CURTIS!!!  GET YOUR BUTTS UP AND COME EAT. AMANDA COOKED FOR US NOW GET DOWN HERE NOW !!!!!!!" And then I walk over to poor Johnny and Gabi who were sleeping on the couch. I think it over for a second because maybe Gabi should sleep. But I know she is awake so I don't care, "THATS MEANS YOU TOO LOVEBIRDS!!! I yell in their faces. Johnny shot right up in the air and Gabi fell off the couch. "Owwwwwwww" she said. Aw man I thought. Now she's hurting again. "Thanks Soda!" she says as she slaps the back of my head.

Amanda's P.O.V.
Last night Gabi slept on couch with Johnny and Soda told me to take the spare room that Gabi normally sleeps in. But I was so scared that I went to Soda and Pony's room and slept next to Soda. He hugged me close and we fell asleep.

Gabi's P.O.V.
I come to this morning to Soda screaming. I know Johnny is awake but we don't move. We are still tired. So we try to sleep. But Soda just had to come and scream in our ears. I fell off the couch and onto my side that was still hurtin from where Bob had kicked me so many times.  Johnny helps me stand and I smack Soda in the back of the head. I go and sit down wincing at the pain of any slight move. I smell Amanda's famous french-toast and my mouth waters. Time to eat. Then Dally walks in saying "what's that smell!!!" I burst out in laughter but then wince at the pain. Johnny gives me a hug. That hurts too but I enjoy it.  Then I give him a peck on the lips and continue eating

Dally's P.O.V.
I walk into the Curtis house and smell something amazing. I blurt out "What's that smell" and everyone laughs. Gabi looks horrible but that's to be expected. Johnny has a girlfriend. But so do I. I go and sit next to Amanda and give her a kiss. She smiles at me. In the corner of my eye I see Soda giving me a death glare. The next thing i know he is standing up and shouting," Dallas Winston is going soft!!! He is changing for a girl. Dallas is falling in love with a girl.!!" Then he walks over to Amanda and whispers "Don't let him treat you like he did aaaaallllllllll his other broads. But when he does, I will be here for you." The whole gang is watching what happen next with horror. I jump on top of Soda and start punching him in his pretty little face. But then Amanda comes and tries to stop me. I stop. She helps Soda not even looking at me. Man I messed up big time. I get up and leave.
