The moment Riley came home she ran to her room, avoiding her brother and her parents. She shut her door closed and fell onto her bed. She sobbed and took out her phone. She had five missed calls from Lucas and a lot of texts.

Riley please pick up
Come on I didn't mean it like that!
Please answer
You're really worrying me
If you don't answer I'm coming your way

Riley shook her head and dialed Maya's number.

Hi Riles
Maya heard Riley sobbing on the other side of the line
Are you crying?
Maybe
What did huckleberry do? (So Riley might have told Maya Lucas is from Texas)
We had an argument
Did you break up?
I don't know, i ran away before he could
Have you heard from him since?
He's bin trying to call me and he has sent me a lot of texts
He's worried! He's not gonna break up with you

I'm so pissed at myself as well. I just ran off while I could've fixed it.

Slight ticking on Riley's window made her look up from her conversation with Maya

Riley hung up and walked over to the window. She opened it and Lucas his head came threw. Riley widened her eyes. "What are you doing here?" She whispered. "I told you I'd come after you" he said. "In my house? What if my dad sees you?" Riley asked looking around nervous. "He won't, I asked Farkle to hack the security system and the cameras are down. No one knows I'm here" Lucas whispered. "You're insane!" Riley said. "Look, I want to apologize. I said some things I shouldn't have said and I'm really sorry" Lucas apologized. Riley shook her head. "I shouldn't have ran away. I was just upset and scared you would break up with me" Riley said looking down. Lucas too her hands. "I care to much about you to let you go." Lucas whispered. Riley smiled and hugged him. "Look Riley, I try not to think about the future because my parents had my future planned out ever since Emily declined their offer to take over the company. And focirse I want you in it. And I know we're gonna figure something out." Lucas explained. Riley nodded understanding. "I know, my futures all planned oit as well. That's why we get each other so we'll. We know what it feels like to have a life that's being controlled by your parents" Lucas slightly squeezed Riley's hand. "But no one will take this away ok? This is us. No one, not even our parents, can bring us down." Riley smiled and putted her head in the croack of his neck. "I'm sorry I got mad" she said. Lucas kissed the top of her head. "I love you" he whispered. "I love you too" a knock on their door interrupted their hug and Riley pushed Lucas off the bed. With a loud thud he landed beside her bed and the door opened. "Ms. Matthews?" The maid peeked her head threw the door. "Diner is ready" Riley nodded and smiled. "Thank you Gretchen" she said. The maid smiled and closed the door. Lucas came from his hiding spot. "That was close" he said. Riley nodded. "Ok, I love you but you need to go" she said pointing to the window" Lucas nodded and pecked Riley's lips before he headed out the window.

Lucas arrived home and his sister was sitting in the living room. "Hey, aren't you supposed to be in your dorm?" Lucas asked dropping his keys in the bowl. "We have termites in our building. anyway, Mom and dad are in Chicago so it's just you and me cause the cook and the maid are already home" Emily said putting her tablet down. Lucas sat down next to her. "So how's your relationship with the Matthews kid?" Emily asked. "We just had our first argument" Lucas said opening a can of soda. "Took you log enough, did you make up or break up?" Emily asked doing the same. "Make up, I love her too damn much to let her go" Lucas said before taking a sip. Emily rolled her eyes. "I still can't believe you're dating one of them" she said. Lucas chuckled. "Well believe it, cause I'm not letting her go soon. I hope you're still in our side?" He looked at his sister with pleading eyes. "Of course, I'm not betraying my little brother on something huge in his life" Emily said. Lucas smiled. "Thanks Em, I still owe you" he said while standing up. "You bet ya do" Emily turned on the tv while Lucas walked to his room.

Riley putted her knife and fork down and wanted to stand up. "Honey could you wait a minute?" Her father said. Riley sat back down. "Are you holding something back for us?" Her mother asked. Riley shook her head. "No" she lied. "W...why?" She asked nervous. "Well the security just called, the cameras were hacked and shut down right after you came home" Cory said. "Why would I need to shut the cameras down?" Riley laughed. "Yes you're right, well nothing went off. But we're still checking the whole house to see if nothing is gone" Cory said. Riley tried to slip away to her room. She sighed relieved when she closed her bedroom door. Riley took her phone and saw she got another text:

Riley frowned and looked around. By the window she saw a little paper. She looked closer and saw that it was a Polaroid. Riley picked it up. It was them two the other day when they were all cuddly. Maya took it and said she'd give it later. Riley smiled and putted the picture between her diary.
