Chapter 12

"Lucas!" Riley and Lucas parted and looked the way the yell came from. Maya and Farkle ran at them. "Lucas your sisters-" Maya started but got cut off. "Here" everyone snapped their head the other way and Lucas his jaw dropped. "Emily!" He let Riley down on the ground. "Please tell me you're drunk" Emily said glaring at Riley. "Oh yeah, we're super drunk" Riley lied. Lucas sighed and looked down. "No we're not" he admitted. Riley looked at him confused. His sister crossed her arms. "Care to explain?" She asked. Lucas took Riley's hand who still couldn't understand. "I'm in love with Riley" Lucas said. His sister widened her eyes. "Maya, Farkle, Riley. Could you go to to the car. I'll be right there" Lucas asked. Maya and Farkle nodded but Riley only tightened her grip on his hand. "I'm not leaving you" she said. Lucas looked at Riley. "Riley, I'm ok. I'll fix it ok." He whispered. Riley looked into his pleading eyes. "I love you" he said. riley smiled and pecked his lips. "I love you too" she whispered. She walked after Maya and Farkle and Lucas turned back to his sister. "Are you insane?" She asked. "Dad will kill you!" She said. "Not if he doesn't find out" Lucas snapped. "Don't you dare snap at me! You have no reason to right now! You kissed Riley Matthews!" She said angry. "I know, and I don't regret it. " Lucas defended himself. Emily scoffed. "How could you fall in love with a Matthews!" She asked. "Pretty easy if you get to know Riley" Lucas said. "Look, I know you're dying to tell mom and dad now. But if you do I'll never forgive you for it. We have a strong bond Em. Could you please, do this for me?" Lucas begged. He looked at her with pleading eyes and folded his hands. She sighed. "Fine, but you'll have to tell them eventually" Lucas nodded. "I know, but right now I'd like to stay alive for a little longer" his sister chuckled. "I do want to know every detail how in the world that all happened." She asked. Lucas nodded. "Every detail. But right now I have to bring them home" Emily nodded and hugged her little brother. "Are you happy?" She mumbled in his embrace. He nodded. "Yeah" she smiled and let go. "Good, that's all I want" Lucas smiled. "Thanks Em" Emily smiled and Lucas turned around and ran off.

Riley was playing with her necklace and kept looking out the rear view mirror. She was nervous. What if his sister would call and tell his parents. They would definitely tell hers and then she'll be death. They'd never get to see each other again. Maya and Farkle were on their phones in the back and Riley saw Lucas come out of the building. She sat up and he hopped in the car. "And?" Riley asked. Lucas took her hand and kissed it. "We're safe" Riley sighed relieved. "She won't tell anyone." Riley smiled. "Thank god, I was not ready to leave you yet" Riley said. Lucas smiled and kissed her temple. "Come on, let's go back before any more people find out." Riley nodded and Lucas started the car. The drive back to Farkles house as silent. As Maya had fallen asleep and Farkle was texting some Smackle he got to know. Riley and Lucas kept holding hands in the front. After a few minutes Riley fell asleep as well. After fifteen minutes they arrived at Farkles place. Farkle woke up Maya and Lucas tried to wake Riley. But without succes. "Riley's a deep sleeper. You can put her in her car. I'll drive her to my place" Maya suggested. Lucas nodded and jumped out of his car. While Maya took Riley's keys Lucas picked Riley up bridal style from the other side . Farkle said goodnight and went inside his home. "You didn't drink too much did you?" Lucas asked before he putted Riley into her car. "Don't worry, I drank enough water afterwords. I'm sober" Maya assured him. Lucas sighed and putted Riley down in the backseat. He pecked her cheek and closed the door. "Bring her back safely ok?" Lucas said. Maya rolled her eyes. "Of course, she's my best friend. I'd never want her to get hurt" Maya said before getting in the car. Lucas tucked his hands in his pockets while Maya drove away. He sighed and walked over to his car. While doing that he received a text message. He took his phone out of his pocket and read it:

Sis 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦😈
I promise I won't tell, but you owe me 😈

Lucas smiled and texted back.

Bro 😈😎
I really do, thanks Em. I really appreciate it

Maya was driving home with Riley's car. She was almost there when she got a call from Riley's phone. Mrs. Matthews name popped up and Maya pressed answer.
Riley?
No it's Maya, Riley fell asleep
Oh phew, I've bin trying to reach her all night
Don't worry, she's ok. Is it ok if she stays over?
Yeah, as long as she's back by tomorrow afternoon
No problem Mrs. Matthews.
Thank you Maya

Maya hung up and threw Riley's phone in the passenger seat. She fixated her eyes on the road and drove home safely.
When she parked in front of her building, Riley still hadn't woken up. Maya groaned. Riley was hard to wake up. ,
"Riles?" She said. Riley didn't move or answer. Maya unbuckled her seat belt and got out. She opens the back door and pulled Riley's feet. "Riles wake up" she said. "Five more minutes" Riley mumbled. Maya rolled her eyes. She took Riley's arms and swung them over her neck. She dragged Riley out of the expensive car and shut the door close. Riley still didn't wake up and Maya dragged her to the front door. "Please don't be home, please don't be home" she whispered when she turned her keys into the lock. She walked inside and looked around. Her mom was nowhere to be seen. She threw Riley's keys on the table and putted Riley on the couch. She saw a yellow sticky note to the refrigerator with her moms writing on it. Riley mumbled something into the pillow and Maya read the note:

I'm upstate with Shawn, I'll be back tomorrow night
Love mom x

Maya pulled the sticky note off and threw it away. "Thank god" she mumbled. She looked over to Riley who was sleeping on the couch. "Glad we made it" she whispered. She turned off the lights and went upstairs.

A/N: now Emily knows, do you think she'll keep her promise? Who listened to Sabrina's new album? I preordered it and I've bin putting it on replay for hours I love it so much!
