"Huh" That was Riley's first reaction when she saw the results. Odly enough it didn't sound happy or sad. It was a little mix of dissapointment and sadness, but also relief. Lucas had the same kind of reaction. Not happy, not sad. Just a little bit of both. Was it becasue they got their hopes up? Probably. Maybe by the time they finished the entire conversation they were kind of hoping for a little Riley or a little Lucas. Riley walked to the trashcan still looking at the results. "Maybe in the future" She muttered before dropping it in the trashcan. Maya wrapped her arm around Riley's shoulder. "relieved?" Riley kept looking at the negative test in the trashcan. "Yeah, This is something for the future" Riley said turning to Maya. Her best friends nodded agreeing and they walked back to the tall green eyed man standing by the couch. "Want to go home?" Lucas asked. Riley shook her head. "Ii'd rather go to the marina before we go home" Lucas nodded and they locked hands. "Thanks for helping me out Maya" Riley thanked her best friend. "I'll always help you." Riley and Maya hugged short before Riley took her stuff. "I'll call you tomorrow ok?" Maya nodded agreeing while they walked to the door. "Bye peaches" The best friends shared one more hug before Riley walked out the door with Lucas.
"What are you thinking about?" Lucas asked while their feet were dangling in the water. "Oh just...." Riley took a deep breath and stared out on the ocean. "How our life may i look like i actually was pregnant" Riley wondered. Lucas smiled. "You'd be a great mom" Riley smiled at him. "And you'd be a great father" She said while laying her head on his shoulder. "Like you're an amazing boyfriend" Lucas pecked the top of her head. "How long is it gonna take you to forgive me for running away" Lucas asked. "We're getting back to that in a minute" Lucas chuckled and Riley giggled. "You looked kind of upset when you saw you weren't pregnant" Lucas said. "I know, i gues i just somehow wanted that baby" Riley fiddled with her belt. "But i do realize that having a baby right now would cause a lot of problems" Lucas nodded agreeing. "But maybe someday..in the future" Lucas nodded. "Nnow about that running away" Riley stood up and crossed her arms. "I'm so sorry about that! I panicked really i didn't know what to do! i was in shock mode! I know i shouldn't have- Ah!" Lucas his rambling was cut off by Riley pushing off the dock and laughing. Lucas landed in the water while Riley tried to take a breath from laughing. He came up and spit out some water. "Ok! i deserved that" He said. Riley couldn't stop laughing and bent over to help him out. He reached out for her hand but pulled her in as well. She let out a little scream and laughed when she came up. They swam around for an hour before heading home.
The next day Lucas had football practice right before lunch. After training everyone a gathered in the locker room and getting dressed. Zay came in with a white board and made some 'game show noises'. "Gentlemen! It is that time of the year again where we claim our girls for prom!" He Anounced. Everyone laughed while getting dressed. "Alright, this year is extra special for the seniors, for the newest members of our team this is a annual thing you'll understand it after today" Zay waved the new kids off. "Ok! First in the list is Isadora Smackle!" Zay Anounced. "Oh! She's mine boys!" Farkle yelled. "Ok, Smackle goes to Farkle. Shocker" Zay wrote Team number behind Smackle's name and went to the next girl. "Maya Hart!" Zaya Anounced. Some boy oh-ed and nodded approving. "Sorry duded, I heard she's going with her boyfriend" Lucas informed them. "Youn mean the collage guy?" Lucas nodded while turning on his bleu shirt. "Ok then next: here we've got for you Riley Matthews!" Lucas snapped his head towards Zay. "Oh! I call dibs. She's all mine!" Charlie yelled. Zay nodded and wanted to write Charlie's number behind Riley's name. But Lucas took the marker out of his hands. "Forget it Gardener" Lucas pulled a line through Riley's name. "She's taken" he dropped the marker and walked out of the locker room. His teammates looked confused and tried to figure out what he was saying. A pissed off Charlie ran after him. "Dude what the hell was that?" He asked. In a fast pace Lucas walked over to his locker. It was very empty since lunch already started."Don't ask her Charlie" Lucas walked to his locker to drop his gym bag in. "What's the matter with you? It's like you're suddenly interested in Matthews! Which is impossible" Lucas bit the inside of his cheek and looked at the hidden flowers in the back of his locker. They decided not to tell anyone because of their parents, but now they know.... Lucas smirked and slammed is locker closed. "Oh really?" Lucas asked. "Watch and learn" Charlie was confused as Lucas walked into the cafeteria. Riley was the first thing that caught his eye. She was sitting at the usual girls table eating her lunch while laughing at something her friends said. He was ready to tell the rest of the school how he really felt. He smirked and ran towards her table. The girls at her table started pointing at him and she turned around surprised. Charlie was still confused. "What are you doing?" Riley asked. Lucas jumped onto the table next to her. He blew on his fingers and yelled: "hey listen up people!" He yelled. The cafeteria went silent and the rest of the team walked in. Charlie had crossed his arms and was looking up at Lucas. "I want to ask a very special girl to prom. She's bin someone important to me for a while now and y'all don't know that because of our good lying skills. But it's time to come out and tell the truth" Lucas got on one knee on the table to he was the same hight as Riley. "I'm in love with Riley Matthews" he yelled out. Some gasps were heard around the room as everyone was shocked. Their entire lives they have seem them fight, bicker and hate each other. So it was very confusing to hear that they're a thing. "And that's why there's no claiming this girl" Lucas pointed at Riley. "She's all mine. And if she agrees. I'd desperately want to take hr to prom" Lucas asked holding up the flowers. Riley smiled and nodded. "I'd love to" she took his head between her hands and gave him a kiss. Their fellow students were shocked and slowly started clapping. Lucas smiled after their lips parted and he got off the table. Riley was clinging around his neck. "Sorry bro, I claimed her months ago" Lucas said to Charlie. Charlie was just like everyone else shocked and he walked back to the team. Lucas pecked Riley's lips again and handed her the flowers. "Now everyone knows how much I love you" Lucas said. Riley smiled while she had her arms still wrapped around his neck. "I love you too" she pecked his lips and he joined her at lunch.
