Chapter 13

Maya hopped into Riley's car. "Hey riles, how was holiday in Florida?" Maya asked. "Great, my grandparents where there as well so we all celebrated Christmas together" Riley said exited while she drove to Farkles place where they decided to meet up. Since his parents aren't home again. She hadn't seen Lucas in two weeks and she missed him a lot. "We start school again tomorrow and I'm already looking foreword for spring break" Maya said annoyed. Riley chuckled. "Oh come on Maya, it's our senior year! Enjoy it while you still can" Riley encouraged Maya. "The only thing I'm gonna enjoy is the freedom after high school" Riley rolled her eyes. The rest of the drive was filled with talks about he holidays and their boyfriend. "Did Lucas get you something?" Maya asked. "He said he did" Riley said while driving into Farkles porch. She rang the bell in front of the gate. "Minkus residence" they heard the butlers voice. "We're here to see Farkle" Riley said. "Oh joy, more kids" the butler said clearly annoyed. Riley and Maya glanced at each other from seeing while the gate opened. "Clearly, the new butler doesn't like us" Maya said while Riley parked her car.

"Mr. Minkus?" The butler peeked his head threw the door. Lucas and Farkle looked up from their game. "Your female friends have arrive" he said. Lucas jumped up. "Easy cowboy" Farkle calmed him. Riley ran in and immediately jumped into Lucas his arms. He picked her up and she wrapped her legs around him. "I missed you" he mumbled in her hair. "I missed you too" she answered. They shared a kiss and Lucas let Riley back down on the ground. "How were the holidays?" They started. Lucas sat down in the big spinning chair and Riley sat on his lap. Maya and Farkle rolled their eyes and walked to the game room. "Wanna finish the game me and Lucas started?" Farkle asked. Maya nodded and Farkle gave her the remote. "So how long do you think it will last?" Farkle asked. Maya shook her shoulders. "They're too happy to tell. Riley really loves him" Maya said while she killed another zombie. "So does Lucas, no signs of break ups soon. But they've bin doing this secret relationship thing for months now." Farkle said. He looked over to the couple that was already making out. "Ew" he mumbled. He turned back to the screen. "Beside them three other people know: us and his sister. And I'm surprised she hasn't told their parents yet" Maya said. Farkle nodded agreeing. "Die zombies die!" She yelled. Farkle chuckled and Maya won. "Yes!" She pumped her fist in the air. They dropped the remotes and walked back to the other room. "Hey guys, want some snacks?" Farkle asked. Riley and Lucas released. "Yeah sure" Lucas said before attacking Riley's lips again. She giggled and pulled back. "Don't be rude" she warned him. "we'd love some snacks Farkle. Do you need some help?" She asked. Farkle shook his head and pressed a button. "James, are there still Doritos?" Farkle asked. "Yes sir, I'll bring them up" the butler responded. Farkle smiled and walked back to his friends. "See, can we now continue?" Lucas asked. Riley rolled her eyes and crawled off his lap. "Ok, let's do something together. How about a movie?" She asked. "Yeah, so you two could make out in the back. Other idea" Farkle said. Lucas nodded knowing it was true. "Fine, game night?" Riley suggested as well. "Ok, how about twister?" Maya suggested. "No twister!" Riley yelled. Everybody frowned. "I've heard stories about twister" she said pulling a disgusted face. "Ok then, monopoly?" Farkle suggested. "No stories about monopoly?" Lucas asked Riley. She shook her head. "Monopoly it is"

After the game Riley and Lucas decided to go to Riley's secret spot before they went home while Maya left to go home. After they dropped of Maya, Riley and Lucas went to the marina and sat down at the end of the dock. Riley layed her head on Lucas his chest and he wrapped his arms around her. "Lucas?" Riley asked. "Mhm" "do you ever want kids?" Riley asked. Lucas looked down at Riley. "Why do you ask?" He asked. "Oh I was just...thinking about my future the other day when my dad mentioned collage applications" Riley explained. Lucas sighed. "Well...to be honest, yeah I do want kids. But indict know how much. That's somethings to decide when the moment is right" Lucas said. Riley stared out of the water and smiled. "Would you want kids with me?" She asked. Lucas chuckled. "Aren't we a little young to think about that?" Lucas asked. "Ok, imagine us being twenty five and I ask you the same question" Riley said while playing with their locked hands. "I'd say yes" Riley smiled. "But now you're saying no" Riley said. "Only because we're eighteen and too young to think about kids" Lucas said. Riley nodded. "You're right" another silence fell over the two. "Do you want kids?" Lucas asked. Riley nodded. "Of course I do, I love kids. I definitely want some of my own someday." Riley answered. Their feet were dangling in the water and you could here the water clutz against the side of the dock. Riley had another question on her list for Lucas to answer. "Do you see a future with me?" Riley asked. Lucas chuckled. "If only it was that easy" he said. Riley pulled out of his embrace. "What's that supposed to mean?" She asked. "No I mean: our relationship is not easy neither is out future" Lucas said. "Do you don't see a future with me?" Riley asked. Lucas ran his fingers through his hair. "I just.....both of our parents want us to take over their companies, but that would be husband and wife competing against each other" Lucas said. "We could figure something out" Riley defended her point, crossing her arms. "How Riley? Our parents don't even know we're dating! Do you want to keep it a secret forever? Imagine us coming home one day with a baby and a ring and saying: 'oh hey mom, dad. I got married to your rivals kid and had a baby'" Lucas mocked. Riley scoffed and stood up. "You're ridiculous, of course we're not gonna keep this a secret they'll find out somehow or we'll tell them eventually when the time is right." She said. "Exactly, when the time is right. When is that gonna be Riley? We've bin doing this for months. How long do you want to keep doing this?" Lucas asked standing up as well. "Are you talking about the secret or our relationship?" Riley felt tears sting in her eyes and walked away. "Riley!" Lucas yelled. Riley kept walking and jumped into her car. Lucas wanted to run after her but she drove off before he had a chance. He yelled out of frustration and got into his car as well.
