Omniscient
After dinner they decided to go back to Lyric's house, only to find out that her mom was throwing a celebration of her husband's returning and her daughter graduating in their backyard. There were party decorations hanging up, music blasting from every way, snacks and drinks on the table, and lights stringing from the gazebo in the middle of their yard. Lyric and her dad were surprised and happy at the same time, they were excited to keep the celebration going. Everyone's family were there having a great time, talking, dancing, eating, it was the perfect time.
While Lyric and her friends were in the middle of dancing to a pop song, a salsa song came on afterward. This drove her mom crazy because she loves to salsa. Her mom couldn't help herself so she grabbed Mr. Vargas and they started dancing. Everyone else soon joined shortly after them and seeing how much fun Mr. and Mrs. Vargas were having. Everyone grabbed a partner and headed to the middle of the yard.
After getting tired of standing and observing everyone, Jaden grabbed Lyric and started to do a salsa dance with her.
He grabbed her by the way and started moving in sync with her, learning some moves on the way. Spinning her around and coming back to where they started, looking each other intently in the eye, making everyone notice and observe them while they were dancing.
Lyric started to feel the music way more and started to dance on a more intermediate level, she spinned out of Jaden's arm and fell right into Rayan's.
"Sorry." She breathed as she looked into his eyes.
"It's okay." He smiled as he started to dance with her.
After a few minutes of warming up to Rayan, Lyric started to get comfortable and noticed he was a good dancer. She smiled to herself as she thought of a plan and started to go hard on him to see if he could keep up and he proved her wrong, keeping up with every step that she made. He spun her around one more time before catching her wrist and staring right into her eyes as they breathed heavily.
"Wow." I whispered.
"You're amazing" He breathed.
"Thanks, you are too." She replied.
They heard applause and turned to look at their friends and family cheering, all except for one person. Jaden. Lyric blushed and looked down her feet, then she went into the house to catch her breath from the scene that just happened.
"What the hell was that all about," Jaden came in behind her, looking mad as ever.
"What was what all about?"
"You and Rayan, what's up with you two?"
"Nothing, we just danced. You didn't see us?"
"Yeah I saw you guys alright, might as well should've just freaked each other on the floor."
"Seriously Jaden, why would you even say something like that?" I gave him a weird look.
"We all saw it, I was the one to call you out on it." He replied.
"You know what, you can leave if you want to act this way because I don't have to deal with your bullshit, I was just out there to have a good time."
"I'll leave when i'm damn well ready to, me and your father have business to discuss. I don't want you hanging around with Rayan anymore unless i'm around, got it?"
"Where do you come off telling me what to do, I can hang around with whoever I want. You can't tell me what to do!" I yelled as I rushed pass him.
He grabbed me by my arm and pulled me back to him.
