Nori buried his face in the pillows, trying to keep from moaning in pain. It was so much worse the second day, especially since he wasn't on pain killers anymore.

"Not feeling well, love?" Rylan asked gently rubbing his back.

"No... Sorry. Did I wake you up?"

"Don't worry about it. You know I can drive you back to the hospital. I'm sure they have your prescription on hand."

Nori shook his head, cuddling closer to Rylan. "I'm fine. I just need to rest."

"I'll explain what happened down at the station. When I go to work."

Nori nodded but didn't exactly let Rylan get out of bed. "Don't leave yet. You're so warm."

Rylan chuckled, running his fingers through Nori's hair. "Their going to wonder if we're both MIA." He pulled himself out of his grip, to go and take a hot shower.

Nori sighed, wrapping back up in the covers.

After Rylan got ready, he gave Nori the remote for the tv and cell phone. "Call me if you need anything, and I'll bring home dinner tonight. Make sure to keep the door locked."

Nori smiled. "Don't make me wait too long, hurry home."

"You know, part of having a job, is coming in on time". Rick said as soon as his partner walked in.

"Sorry. I had a long night". Rylan yawned, taking a seat at his desk.

"You look like hell. What happened?"

"Maximum happened. As soon as he got out, he went right back to stalking Nori."

"Is Nori still staying with you?"

"Yeah. He kind of needs someone to take care of him, since his shoulder is dislocated." Rylan sighed.

"...Wait. How the hell did that happen?"

"Well it was my fault, but I was trying to keep him from getting hit by a car."

"You didn't think to tell me this, right after it happened?"

"Well Nori was high on pain killers, and there was an incident at the hospital. Honestly I was just focused on getting home."

"Start from the being, I want to know everything that happened."

"Why are you questioning me like my mother?"

"Well I've practically been that for the last ten years." Rick deadpanned.

"You're three years older than me!"

"Don't change the subject. Did you get hurt too?"

Rylan sighed, laying his head on the desk. This was going to be a long day.

Nori was always the quiet kid in the class. That's why he preferred the library. It was typically empty and the perfect place to be alone. Despite the fact it was always cold and smelled of paper, it was still one of his favorite places. He was just so predictable. It was almost too easy for Maximum to slam him into the table so hard his vision blurred.

"Oh my little doll. It's so cute that you actually think you can get away from me."He smirked, pressing Nori into the table.

Nori couldn't yell or call for help. It was like he had gone mute all over again. He couldn't move either, maybe it was the complete terror.
