Chapter 76
I looked her in the eyes. She was looking at me with her cute wide eyes, her mouth open. She was still like a statue, not moving, not even her eyelids. She started shaking her head while her eyes started becoming teary. My heart softened when I saw that and I wanted nothing more than to wipe away the tears even before falling down.
"Why.. why" she whispered after a while.
"Manar, please, let me explai-"
"No, no. You have no right to make me feel this way. You have no right to hurt me again. Leave Kamal, I'm not falling for your crap anymore" she said, still looking me in the eyes. She was thinking so wrong of me, so so wrong. I may have betrayed her, but my feelings have been real. Always.
"Manar, listen, I didn't-"
"I said no!" She yelled loudly, her tears streaming down her face.
"You have lied to me so many times, Kamal. Don't lie to me about that. Don't lie to me about what you just said. Don't" she said, warning me. I took a step forward.
"Tell me, Manar. What should I not lie about? What's the word? Tell me" I said. Come on Manar, I dare you.
"Stop it" she whispered, looking away. She was still crying and it hurt me so badly, but I needed her to trust me and let her listen to me. I wasn't going to talk if she didn't trust what I was going to say.
"What is it that you cannot stand? What's the word? Has it to do with feelings?" I said, wanting her to admit it. I knew it, but I needed to hear it from her.
"Is it something you have never felt before, just like I have? Is it exhausting yet enchanting? Tell me Manar, what is it?" I said, coming way too close to her.
"Or is it the first kiss that was undescribably perfect?" I said and that was the trick since she pushed me away.
"It's love! Love! But you don't deserve that! You don't deserve to hear that from me! You betrayed me Kamal, not the other way around. I will not fall again, not after I got back up. I will not give you the power to break me again into pieces without picking me up" she said, making me angry since I was the only one who knew the truth.
"For the sake of all the things I have done to you, you need to listen to me. Tomorrow, in the afternoon, I will be at the lake where you said 'yes' to me. If you want to hear it all from me, come. If you really don't give a damn about me, which you do, then don't come. The choice is up to you. I will be there, waiting for you" I said, wanting her to give some time after tonight. She didn't say anything and I turned around, about to leave.
"A story has three sides Manar. You only know one" I said, without looking at her again because I knew I would loose it if I did.
